Friendly reminder that you’re currently dying and this moment is the youngest you’ll ever be and your inevitable death is rapidly approaching and you’re likely stuck in a midlife delusion where you think what you’re doing is important and integral and it’s likely something that you’ll look back on at the end of your life and feel was ultimately pointless and wasted time and you’ll want it back and wish you weren’t so delusional in your 20’s, 30’s and 40’s because now that you’re old the pain of regret is crushing you like a boulder on your chest and you find yourself unable to move from under it. Omg you wasted all your time and there’s no going backwards. The delusion is gone, all you can do is sit in the regret. Why didn’t you say what you really thought? Why didn’t you do what you wanted to do? Whose life were you living? Why did you let them convince you to live it? How could you have been so misguided and delusional? How could you have been such a coward? but then you realize you’re on nostr and you’re still youngish and there’s still time and you just suddenly WAKE UP.

Like wasting time writing this? 😉 or all the cumulative time spent on nostr …

Exactly why you shouldn’t give a fuck what other people say or think.

I don’t know about all that. I have a few years on me and, looking back, feel I’ve made the best choices I could with the information I had at the time.

Reading this is encouraging because I'm finally winding down from 9 hours of work in the sun doing dirt work on my off grid homestead where I'm raising children to fear God, not man, and to build a life, not make excuses.

The reality of capitalism, if you don't have a plan, you become part of someone else's plan. Some people are just wired to do one or the other. At least if you're part of someone else's plan, you can stack sats with the payoff.

Everything in life is a learning lesson. So to create the illusion they simply needed their BIG LIE to last for 3 generations. You needed to control the influence of The People. Did you not learn from your mistakes? Maybe, that was also part of the lesson. Look at that as a WIN! Each Generation has it's own problems. Humans are straight up problem solvers that build huge tools in order to adapt. Under ground or space?

Ah crap I don’t want to think about how I am wasting my life… now I am going to need to go scroll on X for a few hours until I forget about this.

The only reason I’m on NOSTR is because you are no longer on X. Thanks for what you do. Great to meet you in Las Vegas that morning.
Yeah, it’s an important message. I feel after talking to many here that we are, for the most part, exempt. Self-reflection should be practiced daily. Reflect —> Learn —> Grow —> Repeat.
What I do is take my actuarial based, life expectation, subtract my age, and multiply by 12. THIS GIVES ME my months left to live. For example: Life expectancy is 77 for a white male, he is 45, 77-45= 32. 32 ×12 = 384 months to live.
It’s a shame I didn’t find you in my early 20s lol Still got plenty of time ahead of me God willing, and magic internet money helps claw back some of the wasted time
life itself doesn't have any meaning, it come from oneself. it's like a captain choosing between driving a plane with autopilot or drive by himself. same destination, totally different trip.

Death as an advisor is a powerful thing at every stage of life. Recognizing the present moment as a gift, that some day will be your last and you never know which day that will be, gives power to your choices fueled by gratitude and scarcity.

I'm reminded of Bezo's "Regret minimisation framework", something like, when making important decisions go with the one that will potentially lead to less regret

“You’re not really living, unless you have something to die for”
I I wanted to visit an old friend today. I was worried because she hadn't replied in four weeks. So, we decided to pay her a surprise visit. When we arrived, we only met her husband. He told us that she had died four weeks ago, but he hadn't had a chance to inform us because he didn't have our contact information. She was the one who took care of the contacts. This was especially painful since I wanted to introduce her to my newborn child. Life is short, and we always forget to live in the moment.

Perfect message for my friend in his 40s and saying he doesn’t ”care” about bitcoin price going higher. I would say bitcoin will not care about him either. Because he will not matter anymore.

Death is integral to life. If death is pushed back as if you are valuing your time to live your life, you will not enjoy living your life. Instead you will struggle with your time to make best out of it. Time will never let you feel that you got the best out of it. Misery ensues. If you see every moment of life as equal to death, time doesn't play havoc with you. You accept death in equal measures of life. You live with the full awareness of death happening to you every moment and you still enjoy living with surrenderand gratitude to the existence. Gratitude and love are the keys to happiness and courage. Eventually death becomes illusory and you have no fear of anything. The risks you have taken so far in life pay you back with fearlessness and the energy of death vanishes. Time is then infinitely available to you.
So thankful I’m still young! I’ll stack some more sats right now!

This was a fun read. A whole story embedded in it: First, the non-stop barrage of adjectives. Then the discovery of punctuation. Then the mastery of it. The application of the Socratic method follows until, finally, internet speech. It do be facts, tho.
I’m glad you picked up on the meta of consciously evolving run on sentence lol
No pain no gain. We have duties outside ourselves and families too - things no one else will do that can reduce suffering broadly. Just make sure you're spending time wisely

None of it is fool’s errand done in vain. Just like markets, a person’s life path doesn’t follow a straight line. Volatility is indeed vitality. A whole lot of failing is essential for progress to occur.
