Watched Marty Supreme (2025), a biographical drama directed by Josh Safdie. The film takes place in 1950s New York. We follow a ruthless shoe salesman who is fixated on becoming the table tennis champion. The story is loosely inspired by the life of Marty Reisman, the plot explores his ascension from hustler to international fame, while also visiting his chaotic personal life. The movie is high energy, almost funny at times. The main character’s ambition risks destroying everything and everyone around him. The casting is pretty good: Timothy Chalamet as Marty, Tyler the Creator as his friend, Kevin O’Leary as another version of himself and Gwyneth Paltrow as his wife/famous actress. Produced by A24. Ultimately I didn’t like that O'Leary played such a big role in the movie. The movie was entertaining. But no more. 7/10 #nodereviews
