Follow lists. Please make a user creatable feed that we put whoever we want on. Either a separate tab for lists or they can show up in the feed list. 👍🏻🙂
when used on horizontal mode on a tablet primal flashes like crazy
first use the login process of pasting the nsec could be seen as potentially risky
Support splits 🖖🏼 It’s such a unique of moving sats on nostr and, because of the wallet integration, primal is very well positioned to improve on this ux!
Timeline that remembers where you were and new posts loading on top so you scroll up from where you were to keep reading new stuff chronologically instead of always starting from the new one on top until you arrive around the post you read last time you used the app… if you remember it… this will be very useful!
This is good at a decentralization level and structure. I agree and thought the same. Don't think it needs any changes. We just need a simple to install personal relay authenticated by nsec or npub. But I'm talking monetization. For all network stakeholders: -Clients -Relays -Creators -Followers
You might be right, maybe it would work if a client like amethyst just added a built-in relay. I wasn't thinking about monetization for creators. I've been thinking it will end up with individual sponsorship deals instead of in-app ads, but maybe nostr needs a NIP for in-app ads where every contributor gets paid for their posts, not just the ones with a lot of followers.
Yup that's one way for sure. Build the personal relay right into the client. Then disseminate the content out to aggregators on the network. 100%. On monetization. On social networks, people want REACH. That's all an ad is. It's a payment for REACH. To boost your content out into other people's feeds. That could be an advertiser. Could be a regular creator. Could even be a new user trying to turbocharge their initial growth. But these are the people who fund a network. We just need to structure a economic model where the other 3 (or even 4) stakeholders get a piece of this pie so they can survive and profit. No relay, client, or creator is surviving off monthly or voluntary direct payments. That's my only point.

Would it be possible to build a bridge to X or Bluesky inside Primal itself? Where we would log in using our credentials, and we would be able to see the posts of the people we follow, and push replies and posts to the other services automatically.

As an option, this would be great. But I wouldn't want it to be automatic. Having to go to the mobile app to do the zaps forces me to make sure I actually want to, if we make it too easy we might waste the sats on regretful things.
I wonder how much revenue could be generated this way: Offer users, premium or otherwise, an option to permanently take an 8-or-more-characters Primal NIP-05 name, in exchange for opting in to an "inactive wallet share" where they keep their Primal wallet above a small minimum balance, and a small percentage of their wallet funds can be taken if both their npub and the wallet itself appear inactive for a period of 5-10 years. Allow the 8-character minimum to be shortened with an increasingly large one-time fee the shorter the name is; discount this fee for premium subscribers. Always warn opted-in users before they go below the minimum balance Never take the name away as long as the user has never ignored that warning - no increasing the minimum because they went below it, no taking the name away because the shared portion put them below it.
Accidentally hit "reply" while trying to edit - meant to say "no increasing the minimum so that they go below it."

Option to when launching the app, start where last read and scroll upwards, autoloading any new stuff while you were reading the lower stuff. Eliminates the pull down to refresh too.

Trying to Untoggle wallet in iOS version of the app, following a guide from alby hub, can’t find that option, is that option Android only?

show more of non square images. I saw a meme yesterday that made no sense until I clicked it and realized there's words above the pic that we're hidden
Sidebar with more interesting options. Trending people on nostrband is better than current options. Or improve 'trending' so it's not just the same old same old read receipted large follower accounts. 🤔
Yes, we should enable plugging any feed into the sidebar. We’ll also publish more interesting feeds. 🤝
- Improved search (incl. user search) - Improved performance - Return feed from all relays - Resolve disappearing images after upload - Notifications - Nostr Marketplace

Idk do you still have the option of external lightning adress for the people that want to use their wallets in primal. Tbh, don’t want to “register” anything on nostr, like we have to on legacy social media.

When I switch between feeds by swiping, there are one or two that don't load as fast as the others.
Stop requiring users to trust you with their nsec. Replace KYC Strike backed built-in wallet with either a cashu mint or fedi. Make it easy for users to use any wallet they want with NWC should they choose to opt out of built-in wallet. Use tools like Nostr.build rather than your own CDN solution. Generally just be a better more inclusive Nostr client and stop giving off vibes that you're using the protocol to build your own walled garden.
100% or at the very least, displaying the emoji reactions in the notifications. primal users missing out on at least half of the notifications without this
This is already in the works, but when you add signer support, please add support for both NIP-07 and NIP-46 signers. That way both web and app users can use their signer of choice.

Gyroscopic scrolling (tilt phone to scroll). It’s a bit VR like; it could be terrible. How about a Bitcoin price page or icon. 100k is so hot right now.jpeg
I already have in other notes. One example is the god awful bug that exists when typing a note that has someone tagged in it. It's been there for ages.
Can you elaborate on the trustless nsec method for clients? Is that the Nostr.build thing? I thought someone built something. Been sparse on here. Trying to get a lay of the land. Probably going to start building because existing client devs are fucking clueless. Waiting to see what Will puts out with NoteDeck tho.

can you give us control of what icons appear on the bottom of the mobile screen? I liked having Messages down there.

this may be user error. but when designing a feed using hashtags, I can't seem to use multiple hashtags on a single feed.

Improve UX for threads please, click on each answer is very confusing
Okay, so, I'm totally digging this thing—a slide-show or whatever, a bunch of pictures all lined up. Right? Like, a visual feast. But I wanna click on one, and BAM, it takes me to the actual post. You know? Like, I'm a detective, trying to remember how to find the juicy details of these pictures. I swear, I saw something similar on Primal, but... where'd I go?! My memory is worse than a goldfish. Anyhoo, any ideas?
Primal is looking so good. What a great job. Truly! Thank you so much and congratulations to all involved :) I really love the Explore with the feeds functionality. I really like Coracle.social feed customization. It would be awesome to do more stuff like that. Or make it extendable programmatically. I know there's a lot of work in that direction. It's just phenomenal work. Really love the direction Nostr is taking. It's incredible!!

By asking this question forever., Laura.
There are tools to delete things but editing is unlikely. Every action passes through multiple relays so in order to make a change, it requires much more work than it would on Twitter.
Short term Primal 2.0 integration of the NIP37 integration to allow typo edits on Primal, likely in a 3 to 5 min window after post, just to keep us from looking stupid when we typo something important to the note, but to not let edits compromise content that is already connected to seasoned engagement by other users. View quoted note →
I'm referring to solutions like Amber (android only) or Alby that make it easy to safekeep your nsec and then set permissions on an app by app basis. In the future though I'd love a hardware wallet solution.
Are these signers built for the user, or the client? As in, are they meant so the user can keep, store, remember, and retrieve their NSEC safely? Or are they meant for clients to safeguard/encrypt the NSEC's of their users, to prevent them getting in the wrong hands?
Detecting "nostr:" formatted links & actually linking them natively in a client-agnostic embed/card manner would be a phenomenal addition. 💁‍♂️ The current UX re:that is janky AF & seems to force platform-specific ”https://”-style hyperlinks to reference a post; this is a bad UX IMO. 🙏
