I ran into a homeless man yesterday. He told me that he had been displaced from his home in flint Michigan due to water safety issues. This unfortunately caused him to lose his job. His wife was still working as a CNA but due to rapidly rising inflation they were unable to make ends meet. This led to a deep stress in the household. He turned to alcohol and was soon forced out of his home by his wife. While on the streets he began taking harder drugs and soon OD’d on fentanyl. Luckily the paramedics were able to narcan him and bring him back to life. He’s now trying to turn his life around. I asked him if there was one thing I could do to help him and people like him what would it be? He looked up at me with tears in his eyes and said “the only thing that will help is a regime change war in Iran”.

Ah yes, ... because nothing says “solving domestic collapse” like bombing a country 6,000 miles away..... This is how broken the narrative is😭😭people suffer here, and the answer is always more war, somewhere else. Fix home first.... best way I know how is spreading love 💜🫂

You had me there 🤣🤣🤣
That's fair, I really hope we bomb the shit out of that country so the poor guy can turn his life around.

I am a Muslim who looks Muslim and shortly after Oct 7, there was a protest happening in my city for the Palestinians. I had no idea about the protest and was walking in an area close to it when I was approached in a threatening manner by this meth head. He was all up in my face saying why did I attack Israel...😅
I was really invested in that story, the end didn't disappoint.
I saw a drowning child yesterday. I was taking my morning run and as I passed the pond on my route I saw a child slip in and fall into the pond. A little bit further away I saw ten children slip and fall into the next pond over. I carefully measured out the distance to each of the two ponds and found that the pond with a single drowning child was slightly closer to me. Therefore I had no ethical obligation to the ten children further away. I waded in and saved the single child closer to me and together we stood on the bank and watched the ten children drown. Reminds me of that classic “Night of the living homeless” episode from South Park. But instead of chaaaaaaange they are asking for regime change.

You guys focus on crushing Iran, Canada will focus on Russia. Once we kill them all, homelessness and addiction will finally be solved. image https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/g7-day-2-trump-iran-israel-1.7562980

I walked past a homeless man the other day on Main Street. I see him every other day as I make my way to work. He had his hat on the ground half filled with quarters and crumpled up dollar bills. He looked up at me as I walked past and asked me: “Any Change?” I said to him: “No, you are still a stinking homeless cunt without a house living on the sidewalk” Such is life ❤️ 🌎 ☮️ View quoted note →
Brutal. The end of the note, with the homeless man’s answer, really took me by surprise. Imaging if he had replied to @HODL with: “do you have any freedom money that you’re willing to give me, so I can turn my life around for the better?”
Honestly I wouldn't expect this amount of geopolitical understanding and compassion for Iranian people from an American...
