We at @My First Bitcoin are known for free, open source, and independent Bitcoin education for the globe.
But this year as I and the finance and admin team build out our finance/bitcoin management infrastructure and transparency dashboards, we plan to open source this model as well.
From a U.S. based 501c3 nonprofit operating on a bitcoin standard, what would you like to see in this transparency dashboard (above and beyond details shared in annual 990s)?
My goal is to have MFB be the most transparent, self-sovereign, proof-of-work driven nonprofit in the world, and to give other nonprofits a model for how you can be mission driven, transparent, and run on a bitcoin standard while also running reports, audits and compliance required for a 501c3

It’s a great day to build freedom tech global citizens around the world can use against global tyrants ☕️
Down goes Massie simply because he had the balls to call the Iran War a bullshit war (which it is), lead the charge for the release of the Epstein files, and call out MAGA/Trump bullshit
Doesn’t mean I agreed with everything from him. But he’s a principled American hero.

Buckle up

Elizabeth Warren is going to unplug Bitcoin when she finds out about this

Today is going to be a great day 🌞
Why do I care about Clarity? I’m into Bitcoin for human rights, financial freedom, and how it supports families, communities, and empowers everyday people.
Clarity feels big in that it could very well inshrine into law protections for open source developers and lean into a future economy that brings prosperity to people to more freely engage with, use, and feel comfortable holding Bitcoin.
It matters!

“I don’t like crypto, I don’t get it. Criminals use it. Republicans love it. Trump has corruption all over it.
I much prefer my JP Morgan chase bank dollars. Jamie, looking good by the way. We still on for dinner tonight?”
- Elizabeth Warren at today’s clarity act markup
The concept of Bitcoin can be very challenging for lawmakers.
Many cannot comprehend that there is money that can be sent peer to peer without permission needed.
Post 9/11 every American has grown far too comfortable with a complete lack of privacy and civil liberties.
Many lawmakers truly believe that you must get permission and the government have complete access to your banking data at any time, as the only effective way to combat crime.
Sure. And that’s totalitarian. That’s 1984. That’s a cashless society. That’s a ban on peer to peer.
I’m consistently mourning that I wish to live in a world and society where people have (and want to have!) high agency.
We live in a low agency world more and more, with people looking to corrupt sources to fix their problems.
Bitcoin — and freedom tech broadly — will be available in its most self covering form to those who want it. Problem? Most don’t want self sovereignty or agency. They want permanent, centralized caretakers.
But what we can do is continue to chip into that populous — get more and more people who are actually interested in learning truth, finding agency, sovereignty and freedom, and looking to change the world. It’s happened before in human history —it only takes a few, or sometimes even just one.
Boston is so pretty this time of year

Part of what radicalized me and turned me into a bitcoiner is have a “champion of the working class” Senator Elizabeth Warren in my state of Massachusetts, that is one of the most unaffordable states to live in in the country with the greatest wealth disparities…
Who also happens to be the strongest opposition voice to bitcoin and American rights and liberties like self custody, free and open source development, and *you* being able to access and control your bitcoin.
I can’t describe the rage I have for these people.
@jack mallers said it well on most recent WBD
The biggest competitor to strike/xxi are his future children
That’s how I feel. Being a husband and being a dad, my #1 goal is more time with them. Success and bitcoin slowly but surely give me more time with them. I’m lucky to love what I’m working on (and hella bullish on @My First Bitcoin!)….but end goal is still the same. My family is first and everything!
Today was a lmao, lol even, kinda day
😮💨
Bitkey is a fantastic product. Not “just for your parents.” But like full stop it’s great.
Blocks is *the* company really trying to bring the world to a Bitcoin standard that just works
“Isn’t it crazy there was a time when Bitcoin didn’t exist?”
That’s what my wife said on our walk today after I was talking about orgs and companies around the world that don’t have a plan (B)itcoin if the govt decides it doesn’t like what you’re doing.
Separate money from the state.
Beautiful day celebrating my wife (“mama” to our daughter) in the city today ❤️
Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mamas!
