Yesterday our midwives showed me where my daughter’s head, spine, butt, and feet and hands were located inside her Mom’s belly by touch… baby is perfect position for birth and everything looking good. So deeply grateful 🙏🏼 🙌🏼

How many total global bitcoiners do you think exist that currently:
1. Are >50% of portfolio in on btc and live day-to-day with the volatility / keeping the minimum amount of fiat possible (I chose 50% of portfolio because many people consider their house as part of portfolio)
2. Have survived more than 1 full cycle
3. Self-custody and do not use a KYC exchange for their fiat needs (trade P2P when spending)
4. HODL & Spend as needed (they don’t sell each cycle, they ride the low out and stack hard during bear while reducing expenses)
After co-founding a bitcoin community and running meetups, my guess is that number is somewhere around 100,000 at most… @ODELL once estimated (in 2024 I think) there were maybe 400,000 people that had over 1 btc in self custody… that sounded correct at the time to me. We have MANY more bitcoiner now in total, globally… but the self-custody / HODL & Spend / P2P no KYC conditions would drastically cut into that number
What do you think? Is 100,000 total way too low? Too high? Would be curious to see what you think

We just released the Dixence security update.
During our internal audits, we were able to discover and fix multiple security issues in the BitBox ...
After almost 48 straight exhausting hours helping members of our community in Paraguay as well as users around the world affected by this ColdCard attack I have learned that both MK3 & MK4 (could be others) devices are bricking at high rates due to the below factors:
1. Devices using a 9V battery and connecting using ColdPower via usb cable / if the battery is low the device will brick if it’s not getting enough power, and become unusable - the battery doesn’t have to be dead, just providing less than sufficient power apparently. If using a 9V battery don’t assume it’s got enough juice if it’s old - use a fresh one
2. Devices that are plugged in with the charger connected via an international plug adapter unit are experiencing high levels of bricking due to inconsistent connection provided by the cheap adapter units
3. KNOWN and reported already is that the firmware updates are bricking devices as well
This should be information we get out to as many plebs as possible. Many only have a single device to work with and these issues are making an already stressful situation a lot worse
