This is my first attempt at Tachin ba Morgh
It's a saffron rice dish with a layer of shredded chicken in the middle, and topped with barberries and rose water- soaked pistachios.
The rice is mixed with egg yolks, yogurt, and saffron making a creamy texture.
I cooked it in my 18cm le creuset enameled cast iron which helped with the crust.
On my next attempt, I'll add the barberries in the chicken layer... some recipes were firmly against adding barberries to the rice/chicken.
