Can't use it on Web. It won't update my feed. Real bad experience. Mobile works fine though
I stopped using primal awhile ago due to this.
It is intermittent. While Primal works, my web client does not. While it dows, Primal seems unresponsive. I wondered it had something to do with my local very restrictive network. Curious to know whatever is happening may be affecting others.
It's freaking terrible I hate using it on Android and all my zaps are in their wallet

Been noticeably slower for me (iOS app) the last several days, but force closing and reopening seems to fix it until I need to use it the next time and then it happens again.
Hasn’t been working for me for the last day either

I use Amethyst full time but use primal for zaps, I need to get a new wallet

It's always been hard on my cpu, but desktop is working fine for me. Sometimes it bugs out.
Notification count in @primal seem to be inaccurate for the last couple of days, but it's otherwise running normally on desktop for me.
@miljan is working on it. Should be fixed next build.

I haven’t been able to use Primal for severs days.
Nothing loads. Logging out deleting app nothing fixes it
I even tagged @primal the other day and they haven’t posted anything on Nostr in 6 days…
In comparison, Primal is really slow, but I still like to use it.

Android app has been bogged down for a while, can't do much of anything with it right now

I went back to Damus as my daily driver. I thought it was just me RE Primal.
Also for me not the best experience in the last weeks…
For me it nearly works perfectly.
Only the like button often don´t work in the web client.
And sometimes posts show double till i reload the page.
But it´s still pretty good

replyguy is completely invisible in my feed unless i wanna see it by choice in global only on relays which has not enable filters.
The advantage of relying on a centralized relay caching proxy is that some things are faster but the downside is you’ve got a single point of failure for all users of the decentralized app.
I think we need to do work to reduce the need of these centralized caching servers. Or make them more horizontally scalable as part of the protocol instead of a custom overlay.
This happens a lot of times.
But it´s okay, i just need to reload primal
on mobile (iphone) it is, but the desktop browser works fine for me. I've been using Damus mobile app and primal desktop browser, they seem to be the best.

It's not just you. The primal dvm's on amethyst and nostrudel crash/don't load as well

for me all clients are slow. damus is super buggy on my end.
Check out Nostrudel for a lighter experience.

Amethyst seems the best I've tried on Android, but I've only been on Nostr for a week or so, but I binned Primal instantly.
You are probably encountering the same infinite loop bug that was happening to me. I fixed it and deployed a fork and have been slowly improving it even more.

try re-routing to another country if you can and see if its better, often times when its slow that works for me. the web works fine for me.

primal seems to be working fine, Damus is really slow for me.
It's not just you. I'm having all sorts of issues with it, and the alternative clients I try have a whole host of issues as well.
I love nostr, but the technical difficulties are tough to deal with.

I think it's just you, Jack, for my DNS settings make it quick (no Cloudflare, knowing how that's garbage).
Switch to a pixel running @GrapheneOS and it will work fine 💪🏼
It's laggy today, many Reply guys out of nowhere. Bad connection to my relay list if I get it right - it seems like Primal connect me to other relays and spam filter doen't work today. Tomorrow was OK

Your version is indeed faster. I imagine it also has less weight on the server.
How can we configure the android app to use your server, just change it to notprimal on the settings?

I had to switch to Amethyst. The app was just too slow, and was consuming too much of my battery.
No issues for me. Replying from nostrx.xyz at the moment.

Deploying many horizontally scalable instances is the way.
One caching service is not interesting. Dozens (or hundreds) of instances is very interesting and could help scale nostr imho.

Ongoing solar activity has been causing glitches in electrical things. USB and all power cords can pick up unwarranted electrical energy that must be discharged before working properly. Usbc cords seem to be the worst. Unplug all devices from wall and each connection. Tap end of cords to re ground or wait 15 seconds before plugging back in. Speeds increase when all cords are reset after a solar x flare. Hope this helps.
