Excited to learn more from @Wild Burro's natural material building journey as an opt out to the “modern” building materials.
Natural Earth builder Tim White, paraphrased, equates plastics based (latex) paint as conducive to mold (prevents moisture exchange via walls). Further he mentions mold ingesting synthetics, and becoming more toxic to humans.
In contrast earthen, clay, adobe surfaces allow for breathable surfaces. Done right in an appropriate environment this means the elimination of hundreds of thousands of toxins in the home.
Tim White studies local vernacular by way of archaeology! providing a way of building that had passed the lindy test.
Building with natural materials is the opt out of short term building, akin to nostr being an opt out of the unhealthy internet of today.
