Who amongst you here has watched old videos of yourself and then wondered: what was I thinking doing that? 🤣 #asknostr As I continue to upgrade my website, I saw 5 or 4 year old videos of myself and I was biting my tongue as I watched myself on the screen 🫣😬 Guess what? Do you know why I've found my old videos funny and awkward? It's because I've learned from it. I persevere even though I feel like sabotaging myself. Even though I was worried what others would say but I never stop. Even if no one may watch it I continued. The bottom line, learning is a journey. The outcome is the bonus. Do you know why horses wear what appears a peripheral blocker? So it focuses on where it is going and only in front of it. I find this interesting because we do the same every day. Not in a literal sense. But in our mind, in our perception. We focus on what we know. We can reason about what we know. Knowing in the sense of lived experience, knowledge, culture, accolades, upbringing, content etc. With these we construct meaning in everything. We construct stories about everything. With those meanings we construct how we feel—our emotions, and our body constructs sensations. Hence, the feeling of panic, sweating, heart rate raising etc. We give labels to those sensations as excitement or nervousness, distraught or disappointed. My point? We all have our blind spots. It takes a lot of maturity not to blindly lash out at people, outright call them names. It takes emotional intelligence to put yourself in their worldview and to get curious why they say what they say, why they behaved that way, and why they showed such intense emotion. It takes a lot of wisdom to at least for once, stop thinking about "YOU" and start to give some little grace to people. Even if you think they do not deserve it, how you respond and handle your interactions with others reflects on you. What I have learned working with AI to help me with my web designing: 🎉 Design ideas are mind field and I love it. You asked for design inspo and wallah! It is like magic! ⚙️Troubleshooting code semantics are a hidden mist! Sometimes it solves it in a snap and sometimes it couldn't. 💪AI devs tend to overcomplicate (most often than not) things regardless of how explicit your instructions are. I noticed that human supervision of diagnosing problems and troubleshooting are much more productive than letting them go wild! Simple code problems gets overly complicated because they are trained to solve regardless whether it is simple or complicated solution. 🧠 They are great at brainstorming solutions you have in mind and weighing production time, cost and delivery. 🤯 Lastly, it tends to hallucinate a lot and can be psychophantic. If you are not paying attention, it could cost your time which is more expensive than any tokens. What are your take aways working with AI devs? 🤓 #asknostr
