Doubtful. Too many devs havent even peeked in to see what nostr is, but theyve had their twitter accounts for a while.
@Bitcoin Optech is doing pretty good at showing nostr some love though.
I wonder if some of their more sporadic releases this summer also have anything to do with observing and comparing engagement between twitter and nostr. I know they gave a reason for it on a previous spaces but 🤷♂️

Been posting, sharing, and selling almost exclusively on bitcoin first websites and I can assure you that will most definitely hurt sales, engagement, and “impressions” whatever that mean.
YouTube doesn’t know my video projects exist, Amazon doesn’t know my books exists.
Would be cool if bitcoiners actually tried to look for alternative places to get their content. Turns out most will settle for the usual convenient places.

YouTube, being centralized, doesn't count, but combining Nostr as my marketing for my YT... I wonder if that works.
My guess here is most people still need a sustainable inflow of fiat currencies to survive and make due payments.
And to get fiat inflow, the optimization has to be around "sales, engagement, impressions" etc. like you said.
Until things are really priced in sats and/or truly deflationary, this constraint will likely still persist.
Keep creating value in the meantime.

Every now and then I try to encourage blue checks that imo post valuable things to at least also have a presence on nostr but seem be ignored. I now have a new strategy, I will paste their content on my account (mentioning them of course).

True. Nostr is the best if you get it. Hopefully it will be like bitcoin (people seem to just be getting it now) and people will realise.
We are some way off creating the business models and monetisation equivilents here on nostr (or possibly retraining people to accept other business models). Either way I'm not aware of any nostr millionaires yet (generated from nostr only). Maybe tho. Maybe those zaps for memes posted will be worth something one day!

The other question from gary was "Will Optech ever go nostr only?" Nostr has nostrnests.com which is a replacement to twitter spaces. Or are there any other plans to ditch twitter?
