I honestly think
@JeffG Telegram alternative is going to quickly become the worlds most used nostr client. There's a billion tg users happy to jump ship, particularly if someone can make a bridge for transitioning groups, and a bot father alternative.
I stated coding one, but
@reya's coop made me stop. Now with
@JeffG project, we should be well served.

Keet isnโt open source. It also is a separate network, so everyone has to create new accounts, find their friends, etc.
Nostrโs benefit is the network and the fact that itโs open.
Now if we can only get a non-hipsterlang version of this.

idk, answering from 0xchat, but it took me some time, bcs normally I saw you in my Damus feed, but in 0xchat I needed to add you to my contact list, but as I said before, this app looks sick ๐ฅน When I downloaded it first time I thought that is app only for messages, but it seems like fine client, hope that one they it will be maybe fast like Damus.

Nip-04 DMs (which sadly are still the most used across the major clients) do. But the newer NIP-17 donโt. And my new proposal (what Iโm hoping becomes the default) doesnโt leak any data and provided great forward secrecy and post compromise security.
I donโt think keet uses relays. They use their own architecture called holepunch.

Creating bots on nostr isn't as easy as botfather. Also I think UI similarity is key. Also telegram runs on web, desktop and mobile. 0xchat is only on mobile to my knowledge.

Every note can be encrypted. Our apps just haven't used this ability yet, but some are in the works.
Yes, it means dropping a big chunk of gobbledygook on your feed but clients can be told not to display notes that start with an encryption string.

I still believe that forking Telegram's original clients is the best approach. The polished micro-interactions in the UI would take a significant amount of time to replicate.
