Hi fam. Thank you for all the love and prayers 🧡 it’s truly a miracle the baby and I are alive right now and I’m so grateful to my husband and medical team for making that happen. I’m in an enormous amount of pain and honestly having a hard time staying positive. I have an intense few months ahead of me with a healing and growing belly, and then delivery and whatever comes with that, and I just gotta say it, I’m scared. Scared, grateful, scarred, blessed. Everyone keeps telling me how tough I am but I don’t feel that way right now. Anyway, the only way forward is through and I just wanted to let you guys know how much your messages and well wishes have meant to me during this insane time in my life. So much love to all of you, this too shall pass 🧡

You just narrowly escaped death. I think you can allow yourself some grace. I'm immensely grateful you're still with us. Thanks for fighting, Carla and team.
Really sorry to hear that. ❤️ Hopefully the pain gets under control soon and that can start a flywheel of felling better and more positive. So many people are sending well-wishes, and I wish we could all take a little fraction of the pain to make it go away. 😔
I'm just a random npub from far away but please know this: I love your videos and the positive, humorous messages in them. I’m grateful that you’re on the same timeline as me and that you’ve somehow decided to stick with it. All the best to you, the baby, and your man. 💜
Yes, the only way is through but know as well that the only way through is together and that’s what you have with Nostr. Always!

Hi Carla. You have a big heart, and a beautiful mind. You are blessed. Take it day by day, moment by moment. You have everything that you need! Let go of the rest. You are loved.

Hang in there ❤️. Thank you for all the amazing content
“scared, grateful, scarred, blessed”is one of the most real things anyone has ever posted on this app. I’ve been praying for you, walker and baby because I know there are many tough months left ahead. I recognize your toughness, but also get saying that creates a dissonance when you don’t feel it. But you don’t need to feel it, you just are it. You embody it. And that’s why it’s easy for everyone to see. There’s this poem I like by Lucille Clifton that ends “come celebrate with me that everyday something has tried to kill me and has failed.” You’re alive and your child is alive and sometimes just surviving is the strongest there is to do.
I saw this stupid video of a fat african man by the pool saying: ‘Tough times don’t last. Tough people last’. And then he does weird sounds with his mouth. Matter of fact is: You are 100% tough people. Imagine this was your very last tweet ever. That would be so insane. Glad that it didn’t become. image

Glad you are okay 🙏 It took me several years to feel okay after my pregnancy trauma, it's totally alright to feel every kind of way right now 💜 I never felt like a more weak and pathetic human than in that moment, and I can only see the strength with hindsight

Medical team saved you, but who poisoned you with vaccines and pills in the first place, Big Pharma?

wow instense time for you... stay strong, Best wishes, hope you feel better soon.
I'm glad you're doing well. I remember going through something similar 4 years ago. We knew each other on Twitter back then, maybe you remember when I had my heart surgery. To this day I still believe Bitcoin Twitter truly helped my recovery. I remember opening the app, reading the comments, reacting to notifications, seeing all the love, support, and words of encouragement. Just knowing people were thinking about me and pulling for me helped my mental state in a real way. I believe that positive mindset and outpouring of love actually helped me heal. I don't know how I would have done it without it. I just wanted to let you know I understand what you're going through, the fear, the pain, the road ahead. If I can give one piece of advice is to rely on your support system. Look at how much love you have from your husband, your family, your friends, and all of us here who love and support you too. And when you're more healed, I'll send you some feet pics. I can't have you laughing and busting a stitch. Love you Carla 🫂🫂🫂
You’ve got this Carla. Wishing you strength and relief from the pain. It’s a great day to be alive and you will cherish the family even more after all the obstacles you have navigated. Prayers and positive wishes for all of your family.
Focus on animal fats for healing, they'll help reduce inflammation and pain.
I don't know you, but I have read the scarry words of your husband yesterday and all I can say is, that I hope for the best and a speedy recovery.
Thank you for posting yourself, which reassures the collective that you are indeed on the mend. Rest and focus on your well-being and that of your baby, Walker and your son. We love and support you. You are incredibly strong, sovereign, and resilient, but that does not mean you should not withdraw for a bit, into a healing silence and peace.

You ARE tough. That's for certain. I'm so glad everything was taken care of in quick fashion. Being in recovery does feel weak, and it can make the future seem like a drag. It's entirely possible to be at peak health and performance again. Keep taking care of yourself, and receive any support given.
Thoughness is not proven by not having moments of weakness, it's is proven by enduring and overcoming said weaknesses! Only the fools and those that have not been through hardship have felt no weakness. Keep going, it will get better!
Oh man. Hang in there. You just went through a seriously shocking event. Give yourself a lot of time and space, and let your body process the shock in whatever way it needs to - tears, grief, rest, all of it. That can take time. You just went through something massive. Yes, there is so much to be grateful for - you are alive, your baby is alive, and you have loving strong masculine support by your side, and a little one to be a strong mama bear for, but that does not make the pain, fear, scars or shock any less real. Having a hard time staying positive is completely understandable. I honestly don’t think you should force it. Sometimes the most healing thing is just to be where you are and let your body move through it in its own time. After my surgery and weeks of bed rest, it really hit me that there is almost nothing more humbling than debilitating physical pain. It gave me a whole new level of compassion for people living with chronic pain every day. This may or may not be your thing, but when I was healing and in a really painful place on every level, I found this lecture very comforting. It helped bring me back into connection with my body and the deep knowing that our bodies carry an incredible capacity to heal:

Praying for you and your family!!! Sometimes we get tested with challenges past what we think we're capable of handling, but I think we're generally stronger than we realize 💪 You got this!!!
At some point in the distant future, you and Walker will be watching your grandkids play, stooped over your ‘his and hers’ zimmer frames, and think back to these times recognising how fortunate you were. You are through the worst of it now, you have those closest to you around you, and a lifetime to look forward to. You have this beat already. I know it.

So sorry to hear that, I hope you recover quickly🫂
this raw update from a mother who survived a medical miracle with her baby reminds us that the heart of a network is the people who sustain each other through fear. it matters because sharing the tension of being 'scared, grateful, scarred, blessed' keeps the protocol human. credit to her for the vulnerability to say she doesn't feel tough right now.
