Good morning nostr, i'm running very late today cuz i overslept. The escaping chickens drama continues on the homestead. We were so pleased to be done with the fencing, then less than an hour of letting the chickens out into the run, one of them hopped out. So we're gonna try electric wire all around the top of the fence, plus i clipped one wing of the escapee (although this has not dissuaded my chickens in the past). Good morning nostr, i slept in a bit today because i was exhausted when i went to bed last nite. When i work outdoors and do strenuous activities i get the BEST sleep, much better than simply doing a good "workout". So today we'll be having some family drop by for a couple hours, so i wont get alot done outside. The only thing i'm still not sure about in the chicken run is how to keep the chickens from hopping out. In the past i've tried clipping the wings, didnt work on my chickens. I might drape some netting across the top somehow, we'll see. Electric wire doesnt work well here, because they can just hop onto a tree branch and escape that way.
