Good morning nostr, i'm having my coffee in the chicken run, watching the chicks learn their place in the pecking order with the older hens. We moved a bench into the run so we can sit under a tree and enjoy the drama. The young ones like to hop up onto the bench with me sometimes. Back to the rest of the day, i might start tidying up the guest cabin after the weekends guests, plus i have lots of other things on my list. Hey nostr, i started my day watching the baby chicks this morning, and now i'm ending the day doing the same. Watching them flit around is meditative to me, just enjoyable. Earlier today i was doing some weeding and something stung me on my finger, and it started to swell up and hurt. I came in the house and put some of my comfrey salve on it, and within a couple minutes the pain was gone. Still a little swollen, but the comfrey salve really helped. Just a little tip. We're taking a little mid day break, a respite from the heat and humidity. I was just thinking about a niece that just graduated high school, super smart, good natured, and so full of hopes and dreams for her future. I asked her if she wanted anything for when she starts college, and she asked me for a bible. An 18 year old, asking for a bible. This gives me hope for our future generations. #MiddayThoughts
