Good morning nostr, we have a good chance of rain this morning, along with a mild cool front that i'm looking forward to. Yesterday i found some more multiplying onions at the nursery, so i brought them home. For some reason i lost quite a few of mine this summer, they just didnt survive. So i'll be planting these new ones in partial shade. I've learned that "full sun" on a plant label might work for cooler climates, but full sun in texas is a different animal. I have seen it get better and easier to use, and i truly believe that some of the best human beings in the world are on nostr. I feel lucky to "know" many of you. Been busy outside today, what a nice weather day! I saw this little volunteer plumbago plant sprouting somewhere that was not a good spot. So i just finished transplanting it to a better spot. Plumbago is one of my fav perennials, does well in our harsh summers. #gardening #homesteading

Good morning nostr, today i think we might bring the woodbox onto the back porch for winter. Its still in the 70's and 80's here, but that can change suddenly this time of year. Then we'll be looking around to check that everything looks ready for winter. We dont typically get extremely cold, but anything below freezing can cause issues for us. The coldest i've seen it here was 8 degrees F, and lots of homes in town had burst pipes, cuz our homes aren't built for cold.
