Since @Lyn Alden has been asking some interesting questions about fiction, I wanted to ask about something that has been done well in a series I'm reading, summed up as: "The good guys suffer a substantial loss and the bad guys seem to prevail at the end of each book in the series." Any other books you can recommend that do this? If you liked Ayn Rand's fiction you might like Doug Casey's "High Ground" series: "Speculator", "Drug Lord", "Assassin" and "Terrorist". Spoiler... the main bad guy runs the Federal Reserve. 🤑

TIL that Wells Fargo only lets you transfer $500 to a newly added external account if that account is from $cashapp. The default is $5000 for a bank or credit union. Support told me they have a different lower limit due to "fraud" risk but give no message about why higher transfers failed on the web site. Is this just a blatant attempt to supress a competitor with a new more dynamic business model? Tell your lawyers @jack I'd be happy to provide evidence about my experience.
