You can create a message which is formatted as a single blog post in a link but itโ€™s not a blog where you can share multiple posts as once the link is created it is fixed and static. It is an interesting idea to create a blog chaining multiple posts together in a similar way to the forum though. ๐Ÿค” hmm you have me thinking.
Author phrase is derived from the public Nostr key. It is only displayed on nowhere if the site has been signed using the private key thus proving the public key and associated verification phrase come from the person who actually created the site. So yes it can and should be shared. It only contains information that is available to anyone with your npub but shown in a more human readable way to make it easier to spot forged sites.
Unfortunately not. Site types are extremely limited and must follow a strict template.

Como funciona exatamente me faz um bocado de confusรฃo!
You can create simple websites from a template, such as an event or a fundraiser, where the data is not hosted on any server. All the data needed to recreate the page is contained in the link. This means the sites are censorship resistant because there is no host to target to remove the content. It also makes them private because all the site data stays on your device.
For the integrated Nostr functionality, can you add support for apps like Amber for logging in? NIP-07 is mostly useless on mobile browsers (though very few apps exist supporting NIP-07 natively or extensions).
In in initial design I was doing just that. Using the npub to fetch profile data and then filling in a profile card of the seller on the store and automatically adding the correct lightning address. I decided to remove it for two reasons reasons. The first was the increased impersonation risk. I could set my profile picture and description to look just like yours and a customer would likely never check and see a different npub. Relying only on the verification phrase and the npub I had hoped would make this risk smaller. The second reason was privacy. When you open a store with all relevant information in the URL there is no way for someone to tell what store you are on. If I add a profile or lightning address lookup then you are pinging relays requesting a store from a specific user. Since at this point I had already decided not to add profile name/picture/bio I felt the relay request was not needed for just the ln address. However this may have been the wrong approach and having the ability to swap ln addresses on an existing store may have been worth it as an option. Regarding updates you are correct. The catalogue of a store is fixed. Any change to any detail will alter the link. The mitigation I have for this is the optional Inventory management toggle. Without an inventory management event a store link is forever, can never be updated or changed in any way. Stores such as this should not be shared widely. With an inventory management event you can mark certain items as discontinued or out of stock, or you can close the store entirely and optionally provide a link to an updated store. It would have been possible to put all the items on relays but at that point you are just recreating the stores that nostr already has and are creating nnothing new. I am hesitant about stores as perhaps the UX is just too bad to make them ever useful. But they were the first site type and I have a soft spot for them. That being said I still wonder if it is best to remove them alltogether.
Yes this is the top feature I would like to add. I was often running in to issues when I tried to add it with connections dropping and not signing events. I will try to get it working robustly.
I can see your post and have replied in the forum as well. There are no notifications. You have to check the forum page again. You can enable saving which posts you have seen locally and then it will tell you how many new posts or replies there are.
Forums were designed to be private and only viewable by those with the link. Your forum posts are stored on Nostr relays but they are published encrypted and from throwaway keys. From the outside there is no way to see who is posting or on what forums. But anyone with the forum link is able to read everything.
Here is a fun example of a (fake) fundraiser page. Fundraisers are a good example of something that can be targeted and shut down as I am sure we all remember from the Canadian truckers.
I have never used monero but no time like the present to learn. ๐Ÿคž thank you 46sYQvfSagcEB45F9aUB29X77wvnZsYiPCYqKneShq2VHKedikvMpKyAkEZEDFUzuy9FLbhyS66mx7LRENtKakkB7y56Eww
๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I certainly took a lot of inspiration from Satoshi and Bitcoin. Much of this was just putting existing building blocks together in a new way not completely unlike Bitcoin. And other things were direct inspirations from Bitcoin such as wallet paraphrases making me want to add forum salts.
Interesting project, and neat execution! A UX suggestion: on the homepage don't make the first (almost) empty view full height, otherwise it's not obvious that you can scroll it! Or add a little "Learn more" animation near the bottom of the view port. This main is more useful with a call-to-action, maybe a Create button, or some examples to explore. I would also put in the main menu, it's a really interesting resource. Finally, the menu font-size is really too small :)
Thanks for the suggestions and taking a look. I think they are some good points.
with my url projects i sometimes encountered firefox's arbitrary limit (i forget if it's a thousand or million characters). anyway superb idea and hope to see more of this kind of thing
I wonder if you could make a fantasy console like this. A fantasy console is an application that behaves like a game console. PICO-8 is a popular example. And the games (small, very simple retro games) could be again stored in URL fragments. Hmm... maybe I could also try this in ShakespeareDIY.
And I get even more ideas now. This could be a new website type. A minimal Nostr client. When creating one, the creator could define which kinds to support and maybe how to render them. Also with the possibility to show events regardless of their kind.

I am not really understanding what you did there but it seems fascinating! Have to dig in deeper!
I didn't understand this: "You can enable saving which posts you have seen locally and then it will tell you how many new posts or replies there are." What do you mean with "enable saving..."?
On the forum there is a clock icon to the right of the forum name. When you click this it will give you the option to enable remembering which posts you have seen and so you (should hopefully) get accurate indications about how many new posts or replies there are since you last visited a forum.
Thanks. I have tried to encourage people to keep below 2000 characters for consistent ability to share but every app or browser seems to decide their own limits.
Oh I see. Are you suggesting a site type that is an arcade game? Load the url fragment and play in the browser? Interesting. Sounds fun.
My issue with the blog is that by storing all the URL fragments on nostr events there is no real purpose of having them be constrained to the url. At that point you might as well just have a nostr feed of your long form posts. I am not sure what is being gained. I made an exception for the forum because it felt like something genuinely new and private spaces are something that I felt nostr lacked.
Cool. Would be a fun project. I have a dictionary that is used to replace certain words, phrases or urls with short codes. You could do the same but the dictionary would swap out different code snippets needed to play a game.
I hope so. It's a pretty darn good tech. Done ALL by hand, no AI. I've used it for at least 15 years, personal, at work, etc. It feels so right for Nostr. Sometimes great tech is created and then forgotten, only to be re-discovered by a new generation. I love that.
True. I wonder if ai will help people discover cool abandoned tech. Who knows what strange abandoned websites that got no views all the LLMs have been trained on. Probably some gold in there somewhere.
Interesting find: A signed forum link produces a different forum than an unsigned link. However, an encrypted link and an unencrypted link produce the same forum.
The app avoids saving data locally and does not store private keys. The generate just lets you create a new key pair that you have to save elsewhere. The extension is needed to save the key and sign future events and also to decrypt your orders or petition signatures through the manage page.
#7 image Nostrโ€™s Value4Value (V4V) model is all about plebs directly rewarding creators for the value they receive, no middlemen fees, no ads, just pure community-driven support using sats via the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
