Mmmm lots of not valid errors when trying to add ingredients is there a format guide or a list of not allowed characters.
Just as i was finished migrating all my favorite recipes to a self-hosted instance of Mealie, someone had to go and build a cool Nostr client for recipes. Looks like I’ve got a weekend project now!
that caldo verde recipe looks very suspicious, not like "real" caldo verde which doesn't have beans and the potatoes should be crushed with a magic wand to make the soup creamy. also, the kale should be cut extremely thin and long. other than that, nice project :)
Not sure if ya want the feedback or not but added a recipe and these were the things I noticed ux wise - can’t press enter when adding items, had to click add - when adding multiple items to form does not display list. Only see the first item - would be nice to be able to paste all ingredients or directions in a chunk rather than itemised and have it separate or number where needed - word limit errors appeared so couldn’t publish but did not show which form field error related to great work mate
Gonna show this to my mate, she was an early Bitcoiner but walked away from after getting burned on an early shitcoin scam. She's got a head full of knowledge about cooking and I'd love it if she got back in to BTC again View quoted note →
This is excellent! Now, can someone with talent please write a nip that causes the poster's device explode if they use the foodstr tag and *don't* provide a link to their recipe? Thanks
What do yall think of doing a different event kind than a standard note? It feels like it would clutter the feed of kind 1 focused clients.
I guess I can add nostr private key login as an alternative to the nip07 browser extention if that's what you mean
Giving up our nsec is about the only option mobile users have to my knowledge anyway. 😅 And not alot of folks are into that.... But in generaln im noticing most things are nip07, that excludes mobile users from using it currently... It's actually one of my biggest issues and what I think may be hindering adoption.... we can't fully use nostr on mobile yet. Devs use computers all the time. Us 7.5B regular people, do not. Lol. Would be cool if mobile users could login with their npub and a Google authenticator style thing for nostr mobile users so they can experience all of nostr.
no register option? also just checked it is a 30023 event so it will show up on other long form context platform like habla right?
Nice:) just let me know if I can help, and you're welcome to contribute!
Thanks for this. I can share my recipes with good meat. An exception for chicken, because I'm a chick. 👀🐤
Question about tag formatting: should I make a “gluten free” tag with a space, a hyphen, no space? What is the standard on there?
Can the app recommend some common tags like that? I’d hate to make a gluten free recipe and not have it show alongside the others bc I don’t format it right
Correct. Use kiwi browser if you're on android. It's built from Chrome I don't know what solutions iPhone users have but use Kiwi browser on android
@Tijl is the dev on the project, he can probably better answer. Are you asking where the tag reference is pulled from?
I love this client 💜 Thank you 🙏 I just uploaded a recipe using brave browser, Win10, Alby extension . Not sure if browser is blocking some features (I turned off shields) or if it's user error but Issues I'm having: 1. Cannot edit recipe 2. My name is displaying as. ... 's When I hover over the name, the npub does not match my account? Anyone else experience this? https://nostr.cooking/recipe/naddr1qq4kcmmzwd6x2u3dw3skjmpdwa5hg6pdwejkwctw94nkzunzv9h85medvfjkzm3dwdskcctyqgswwy5xzxamg5fnvhx29ugkzr0adu87rpu2ersykhqnwf5yk4zsk3crqsqqqa28dkk6zv
I see your note on the client. Can’t wait to try it 😋 You should have the ability to edit after posting the note on the site. I hope that the issue you’re having is temporary 🤞 we will fix it if it remains. Appreciate the feedback, and your contribution to the network 😃 thank you 😊 🙏
Thanks for your recipe on nostr.cooking:) Sorry that you're experiencing issues. Like you said; It seems that the npub of the recipe is different then the npub you're posting from now. This also explains why you can't edit your recipe and the name is .... So you probably used the wrong browser extension (if you have multiple extentions, disable the one you don't want to use) or nsec to login to the site. You can look at the login or User Profile page if you are logged in correctly.
