Got energy integration setup in Home Assistant and integrated with the power providers smart meter via Zigbee (might as well make use of the forced spyware). Very cool to be able to track power usage as a whole. Ordered a few more power monitoring ThirdReality plugs so I can track a bunch of the major power draws (car, computers, heater ;) Got a plug setup on our PHEV charger (Plug-in Hybrid) so we can track the overall power used when charging. Previously I just had a kill-a-watt setup, but now history and cost can be tracked more accurately. This all reminded me that all the appliances we use give off their own power signature. So the power provided can tell if you're running a computer, heater, dishwasher, etc. just based on the signature of the power draw. Easier to do now with smart meters.
