Normally the vibe coding and clanker shit doesn't really bother me. I'm no saint. I vibe code. I ask clankers technical questions when I feel like I'm out of my scope or need a sanity check.
But This morning, despite his good intentions, I almost lost my shit at a friend who was just trying to help but was using his clanker to talk at me like I haven't been doing Linux systems administration for over ten years WITHOUT an LLM.
There's some thing that I'm forgetting the name of, but it's called "Unread Library Syndrome" or something. You buy a bunch of books, you don't actually read them, and you talk like you have the fucking knowledge, and I think LLMs amplify whatever that fucking phenomenon is hard. We saw it with all the armchair cryptography coming out of the cold card bug.

My job title might be networking engineer, but Chasing weird ghosts on my own network this morning is not what I signed up for. ๐
Well, okay, technically it is, but I'm just venting into the void right now. So, bleh.
These might be the first wood filiment seed singer cases out there. Gonna sand one a bit to make it smooth. Might even stain it. ๐

As if I already wasn't slow enough, when it came to working on my own projects, apparently I can't look at a screen for more than a couple hours without wanting to fucking vomit.
It's easy to talk about delaying gratification, but when you're the one who actually has to practice it, it's so fucking hard. ๐
#weedstr Forgive the droop. I literally just watered them.
Question mining with nerdqax++
I was doing maintenance to my node the last couple days. I have datum on that node So I powered the miner off for a little bit. Plugged it back in when everything was up and working and it seemed to hash again for about a day and now it seems to have a voltage problem that I can't fix via software. I'm assuming this is an RMA type thing. I'm wondering if anyone has ever fixed this problem? This thing has failed on me twice now, and it's starting to piss me off. I know I should probably sack up and get a real miner but I was enjoying having a little desktop lotto miner.
#asknostr
After taking care of things locally, I have two seed signers left over ready to ship. Fully assembled units if anybody wants them. I'll include a blank SD card if you need one. Asking 65 flat for them that includes shipping. US only for now sorry.
I've already been to the post office today so the earliest I can ship them off is tomorrow.
Nostr DMs are fucky, so please reach out via signal or matrix If you're looking for a prompt reply. Both are in my bio for now.

Well even if my dreams are weird sometimes at least they're lore accurate.

Unrelated to this whole Bitcoin nonsense, my roommate is learning a hard lesson about backups today. ๐
There must be mercury in the Gatorade again.
If nothing else, this particular event has made people go off the deep end considering edge cases of edge cases of edge cases.
Which is good to see in a lot of ways. Tiring in others but overall good imo.
