.......All of mine are not diplomatic solutions.......and might get you into trouble with the HOA, but I am curious how other people would deal with this.
HOAs are ran by old single lady's who want to enforce some control on people
It's not illegal to freely discuss hypotheticals that would never be implemented if they were unlawful, in fact it's always good to know what is unlawful so that you can expressly avoid doing those things.
i have personally, and honestly been wondering if we’ve reached a societal stage where its not possible to reason normally with people who would try to set up surveillance like this. like, really wondering. i want it to not be true, but i wonder now.
It would be a real shame if someone were to purchase coyote urine from their local feed store/Amazon along with a syringe and spray it through the weather stripping all over the seats and carpet…
That smell would never come out, and the car would have to be stripped of all the cloth material the urine touched…
Would cost a fortune and nobody would want to volunteer their car for that duty ever again

Rally up your neighbors to the nonsense and get it walked back/taken away.
If this fails I'd personally look into moving into a non HOA area. Hard to do these days and there are commies even in non HOA nice areas too.
We question if we are the crazy ones when we think it would be better to live on acreage away from the nonsense

Oh fuck that. The deed covenant in my neighborhood says we're all supposed to form an HOA but we all collectively agreed that we're not gonna do that. We do have a neighborhood group chat we're we alert each other to suspicious activity and organize collective efforts like pot hole repair, but it's all opt-in and we have an unwritten live and let live policy.
Well, you could do some lawyering. Take a look into what your HOA charter actually specifies and see if both flock and a surveillance car violates that and push back on them using their own rules. Or state law.
There's the obvious physical response of cutting the cameras down. Or they could be plastic bagged or jammed......Along the patrol car, I'm not really sure what kind of patrol car it is, but if it's automated, you could have some fun with circles of salt and higher wattage lasers.

I am honestly beyond wondering, there's enough information out there now to know what these cameras do and how they work. And if people are intentionally installing them, I assume that they do not have my best interest in mind and therefore generally think the nuclear option is the way to go.

Lasers and salt then. They have to follow traffic lines, and if you line out something for them to follow, they probably will. And, God forbid, a high wattage laser hits some of their sensors They could all of a sudden stop functioning.
That's amazing. If I didn't live in a neighborhood completely fraught with normie idiots I'd consider it, but they love daddy gov't so much. There's a woman, surprisingly young like late thirties, who lives near the mailboxes next to which there's a parking lot and apparently she monitors this 5 car parking lot and reports anyone who parks in the handicapped spot and also monitors the nearby dogshit can for people who throw their junkmail away in it. I don't understand these people but that's the nature of my neighbors. They LOVE this surveillance shit

i am thinking about the real world consequence of crossing the line into targeted violence against people undermining everyone’s constitutionally protection rights. that decision cant be taken lightly, our out of emotion. its a serious thing to come to the conclusion all further reasoning and negotiation will be fruitless, and the only choices left are submission or force.

Every neighborhood has one of these types... the woman a few houses down from me... a few highlights: a few years ago she called the cops on the church across the way for playing music too loud on a Sunday... now they have to send everyone Starbucks cards every summer to say sorry for the noise...wtf. She also "suggested" I move my trailer from the road directly in front of my house when one of my bands stopped by for a night while on tour. They were there from 2am to 10am and I got a text within that time...

I've heard of a few of these stories on tech news programs i occasionally watch. I wonder if it's you they're talking about? XD IIRC in one case some residents (or resident) took up some sort of legal case and lost. Then it got all dramatic and hoa started campaigning to fuck with the dude.
What's the worst your HOA can do? Can they touch your property? Get you removed? Besides have way too much time on their hands to mess with you.
