Modi gonna hate Nostr then 🤣🤣🤣
Look at what the Indian soldiers are doing in Kashmir and the lack of media coverage. Modis leaning into the whole "Hindu fascism" idea but it's been going on for a lot longer than him. Shocking the amount of money their gov has and total lack of infrastructure or services for the majority of the population.
convinced that nostr adoption will be led by indians and chinese top 4 countries by population, look at that drop off: 1. India – 1.464 billion 2. China – 1.416 billion 3. United States – 347 million 4. Indonesia – 286 million
When you lay it out that way... Side note - isn't it strange how little of an idea we have what is on the minds of the average Chinese person, in this super-connected age? Boggles my mind often.

Instagram is huge in India. Like incredibly huge. Think hundreds of millions of people easily over half a billion. Besides multiple organic ecosystems of businesses, freelancers and artists, there's also a lot of political content over there making fun of, memeing and criticising all sides of the political spectrum. And people speak multiple languages, lot of them with over tens of millions of native and exclusive speakers, so they likely wouldn't understand things in the first place to be able to know what to censor. They can't censor all of it simply because of the sheer numbers and diversity 😂 Adoption-wise, the ability to make accounts private is a big deal for people like me who aren't public personalities and just want people in my circles alone to see my posts.
signal has 70 million active users, which could be better, but is pretty damn strong making generalizations about 1.5 billion people is almost guaranteed to be wrong

People don't know they need free speech until they're silenced. 🤷

I was maybe too harsh on Elon .. he probably is for freedom .. just "no one is better than his incentives"

Modi wants control. Elon wants control. They are both afraid. #Nostr has nothing to fear, and is in control.
Haha different strokes maybe. I like to dabble now and then. I find it too much of a grind to learn as much of it as I "should." Got other challenging topics I prefer to spend energy on stm anyway.
reuters is propaganda & fake news crap anyway not much difference w/ aljazeera

If you feel like it's a grind, then you can always shift to Rothbard's lecture recordings in which he examines various retarded economic policies and their consequences. He's pretty funny. Curious though, what other challenging topics are you exploring?

Africans 😉 Is joke I know.
It is not odd, it is dark side of freedom, nostr is not mainstream until it’s filled with these evils
Things can get very rough ..very quickly ..in India. Normal rules of physics break down when you get near a BLACK HOLE ! One and half billion brains is a Blackhole of consciousness :-)

I found a bitcoin walking group in Goa but they are not active anymore. Next I head to Kerala. So I will see what I find. Thanks
I was half joking, but it probably would onboard a lot of people. Or at least give them zaps easily if they come. It's possible that Primal wallet could become popular for good UX and naturally onboard people to Nostr that way.
Plato's allegory of the slaves in the cave comes to mind. Just like bitcoin, many people would prefer to hear comforting lies than the harsh truth, even if such knowledge could demonstrably improve their lives. Doesn't just apply to India of course. We see the exact same thing in the US with politics becoming more and more partisan and subjective, even when we have more access to information than ever!
I already explained It’s like not understand why the average person is not running a server
Modi literally told indian soldiers to use Israeli doctrine against civilians in Kashmir. Rape, torture, I discriminate killing of civilians. All in an attempt to break the Kashmiri spirit and subjugate the people. They have no human rights under the Indian government, they are treated less than second class citizens. The average Indian ks treating like second class citizens by their government, while Kashmiri are treating like vermin to be exterminated. Just like the Zionists treat Palestinians, or how Indonesia treats Papuans, or like how the Myanmar dictatorship treats ethnic and religious minorities etc. Like how UAE are exterminating people in Sudan. Colonisation is evil, it doesn't matter which country you point to, every country participating in colonisation are doing the same evil trying to exterminate indigenous people to steal their land.
modi is just a more intelligent version of trump. same tendencies from both of them
