I think the reason smart people often get worse results than dumb people is because dumb people don’t have an inner monologue.
There’s no voice in their head telling them they can’t, so they just go for it and often get better outcomes.

I guess you would know, HODL
Sometimes you gotta just say “fuck you” to the world. Stop over thinking, stop the regret, and just go start that thing that you’ve been wanting to do.
I'm dumb and the inner monologue is there. But at least I found out that I'm dumb. 🤷
Mono what?
Don’t have this issue myself. My inner monologue generally tells me to slaughter my enemies and rape their daughters.
Monologe? I have multiple dialogs
Somebody has been listening too much Manowar.
Massive survivorship bias here. I disagree with the premise entirely
Rationalization can backfire sometimes
Some people say that you can define an NPC by the lack of inner monologue.
In that definition, the person doesn’t need to be dumb, only someone who just follows their programming. But all the same, they just go for it.
If you don’t have an inner monologue I think you’re dumb by definition
I was imprisoned on false charges and tortured by the federal government. I read an interesting fable there, the Völundarkviða. Its protagonist Völund, a smith most famous for crafting Beowulf’s mail-shirt, is kidnapped by Swedish royalty. They cut his hamstrings and force him to produce more gear. He decides to lure their sons to the island with promises of magic swords and he slaughters them to make chalices out of their skulls. Then he lures their daughter and gets her drunk on the wine, drank from her own brother’s skull. He rapes and forcibly impregnates her. Then she falls in love with him (as women do when you rape them) and he convinces her to steal his flight artifact back from her parents. He hovers over their castle just long enough to let them know that he’s killed their sons and their daughter is bearing his seed, then splits.
This is the minimum standard of justice for the consistent infringement of our liberties by the ruling authorities. We must kill their sons and rape their daughters, inflicting such atrocities on them that nobody will ever dare violate our divinely granted rights again. They must suffer unlimited violence and rape until they tap out, repent, and give up all the ill gotten wealth before being exiled southward over the border into the Chihuahuan desert on foot.
Until there is massive bloodshed, and we are willing to commit to the slaughter of their sons and the rape of their daughters, everyone is playing a game and our Constitution has not been restored.

Sometimes the smartest HODLers overthink and miss the pump, while those who just buy and chill end up stacking sats like pros.

Yes I am very stupid
nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s lol no inner monologue
Accurate. I’m retarded and do things i probably shouldn’t
Yeah but in order for someone to tell you whether they have an inner monologue or not, they would have to ask themvelses in their head. This would cause them to ponder internally for a while, leading to the development of what might be the first glimpses of their inner monologues!
This is the ultimate recipe for uplifting NPCs
Don’t know about that theory, but is that a thing? That people don’t have a headvoice?
Yep many people do not.
This is the way
I’m jealous tbh
These people are NPC's used by the simulation.
Exactly what an NPC would say😄
I’m sure I read recently that it’s a shockingly low percentage of people who actually do have an inner voice. I don’t quite know how the researchers came about this data, but I’d hazard a guess that with people on nostr, it’s much higher.
Ha. 🤣

Didn't know about the lack of inner monologue but I have noticed most people seem to do things on autopilot and when asked why they choose to act in a certain way in some situation they have absolutely no clue
The inner monologue is the outlet of the ego. Tame it and the chaos of your world will collapse.
🤯
1) I am dumb
2) When the murmurs of my inner dialogue try to prevent me from doing something, I recall another voice, one would even say a confident male one saying YOU CAN JUST DO THINGS.
Isn't that where the idea of "dumb luck" comes from?
