With fees persistently low, why do we keep hearing that lightning cannot scale since for it to do so we need a lot of users that are continuously opening and closing channels, causing congestion on chain and causing fees to rise to levels unseen since, well, never? What if we aimed at having all users operate their own LN node instead? Wouldn't that be desirable if all the UX challenges were magically solved?
