A few weeks ago, the restaurant Mixtura Latina was listed on BTC Maps as one of the restaurants in Vienna that accepts Bitcoin. Vienna is a city with more than 2 million inhabitants, but so far there was only one Bitcoin-friendly restaurant in the city. So, I was eager to check this claim and I organized last Saturday’s bitcoin walk with the goal to field-check. When our group arrived at Gleisgarten, the food market where Mixtura Latina is located, we quickly realized that we were probably their first customers trying to pay with Sats. However, after some initial confusion, they still used the non-custodial Wallet of Satoshi, which cannot receive funds inside the EU, we were able to make our payments.
