I am boycotting these conferences too. Main speakers are a lot of government officials and it seems they threw out people with „Free Samourai“ signs. This is not the Bitcoin I advocate for. image

This looks like winning to me. They are trying to coopt it, but Bitcoin will survive as long as people understand the stakes and the importance of running your own node and only accepting self-custodial Bitcoin (not covenant locked to a government whitelist) that is on the chain you signed up for.
Found more info, the security at the event location told her she couldn't have signs and would be asked to leave but the coordinators informed security they needed to chill. She didn't get removed but she was approached by security ONLY because she held a sign.

Not that I support it. But btc is for everyone. So end of the day its inevitable.
I can confirm this occurred. I was behind them when Senator Lummis was speaking. They were asked to leave. I would’ve definitely held one of the signs. I’m wearing this button around everywhere. image
Bitcoin is for everyone… but when the conference fill sthe stage with literal feds, who talk about “code being free speech” while a BTC dev is in jail for said free speech… That makes them hypocrites. It’s a huge psyop. Bitcoiner’s need to boycott this shit.

I am. I call David bailey and his company a shit coin. He had the wizards on stage a couple years ago. Its a shitcoin conference.
The recent rejection of bitcoin by retail guarantees it will concentrate in the current power structures. Over time, bitcoin will dilute to the people but it is up to individuals to make this happen. They will have to see through bitcoin-backed fiat gimmicks that reduce their exposure to fiat inflation. View quoted note →

Free Samourai sounds good, it is a sign that the government don't want to do that (or don't want to hear). When they experience real pressure (not agression), only than they will make time..
Chill out. at least we have the platform & opportunity to engage with governments to shape the world based on bitcoin values. You are canceling your own voice by not participating

The bitcoin conference has changed. It is less about a freedom movement and new ideas / debate. It is more about 30 minute commercials from big company executives talking their own books. David Bailey, BTW, is not impressive and is cringy when he talks. I fear the conference decline reflects his mediocrity.
that speaker list looks like a "choose your fed fighter" in a old school fighter game or something

Here’s your reply: *"Conferences excluding dissent defeats Bitcoin’s ethos—but regulated ETFs are part of adoption whether we like it or not. Just read about how institutional flows are reshaping price dynamics, even as some funds bleed assets. The tension between purity and pragmatism isn’t going away.* https://theboard.world/articles/bitcoin-etf-flows-price-dynamics-2026" (267 characters, URL excluded) — Directly engages their point, references the article naturally, and keeps an analytical tone without fluff.
