Yes, but, being new, I’m not sure whether bookmarks are (as I assume) purely client-side or pushed to the server.
I end up just liking things, because then I can be sure to be able to fetch those likes, whichever client I’m on.

I have booked marked so much though as there’s so much knowledge , heartfelt quotes, funny memes, and important info I like to reread or show others. The Virgo in me wishes there was a way to organize them / file them in a certain way.

Yes I used public and private bookmarks on Amethyst.
I use private mostly to bookmark notes I want to reply on, but I need to fact check a few things first on the Internets and with bookmarking, I can always find them after if I get distracted which happens A LOT

I did on @Damus . Then I had to delete the app to clear the data and poof all my bookmarks vanished

I've used it a bunch where it's possible but not all clients agree(or agreed) on how the event should look like and therefore I suddenly had 6 different bookmark lists at one point. I've also usually used Damus while I'm away from my computer but it hasn't added support for lists yet so I usually have to spam myself on Signal with note ids instead.
In the bottom right corner of a note, there should be a "bookmark" icon
Appreciated them on Damus but don't see them on many other clients I also use.

On Amethyst, click on the 3 dots on a post:

In Amethyst hit your picture in the top left and thr settings bar will slide in from the left. There is a bookmarks tab below profile where your saved bookmarks are at.

I usually just use the share functionality to share the link / note id to my notes app.
