I’ve had a few ppl over the past week, tell me they didn’t order, because I charge sats, and they wanted to pay in fiat. If you don’t want your fiat, why do I?

I totally agree with your choice to only accept Bitcoin, but why wouldn't this logic also apply to Bitcoin? People who send you Bitcoin want your soap more than that Bitcoin. That isnt a negative against Bitcoin. Or do you mean that they are anti fiat and just wanted to dump it on you? If so, then yeah. Fuckem.
What, so we can make some money for the bankers and lessen every party's privacy??? Fresh tip: If you want to use fiat, use that same amount of fiat to buy sats with it, then use those sats. Bitcoin-only businesses are passively orange-pilling the world.
But you don't have 10B dollars. You have what you have. And whether you buy soap with dollars or Bitcoin, the value leaving your net worth is the same. It was the same back then and it's the same now. Pizza guy spent 20 bucks worth of bitcoin on pizza, not the bitcoin's value today.
Yeah I'm not disagreeing with that. All I'm saying is that your logic that a money is bad simply for wanting to spend it could also apply to spending Bitcoin. It makes no sense. "If you don't want your Bitcoin, why would I?" Maybe I'm just misunderstanding.
Fiat IS bad, but not just because someone wants to spend it. No one spends anything unless they value the return more than the money.
This logic doesn't make sense. You would just die if you carried this logic all the way out. This only makes some sense if youre creating no value at all and are just living on NGU. Even then you have to buy something to live. Spending $10 in fiat is still spending $10 worth of Bitcoin today. I think @SoapMiner is just refusing to be the dump zone for bad money. That totally makes sense. You can just spend and replace, but then Soap wouldn't be eating the costs of swapping out of your bad money.
I think we are totally misunderstanding each other and actually agree. I'll take the L for that.

It's not an L. We are here to help one another. I'm a complete retard on most stuff. 🤷

I’m planning to redo my art website. I’m going to explicitly say I only take payment in bitcoin and if they can’t figure out how to use it I don’t want their money.
This is the logical bridge between earning fiat and Bitcoin. Soap has simply made it fully to the other side of the bridge. I can't force hospitals to pay in Bitcoin, so I'm currently stuck doing spend and replace, Strike Bill Pay, etc. Which is what it is. But I WANT more merchants to be Bitcoin only. That's the only way more employers and businesses will ever be incentivized to pay in or accept Bitcoin.
I have never sold my bitcoin, but I have spent it and replenished it quite regularly.

If you have the fiat, you have the fiat to put into bitcoin and pay in bitcoin.

I've answered this. I do want the Sats! I make a quality product, I want REAL money. If you want fake soap, use fake money.
Not that I have seen. Zaprite doesn't handle any funds. It also costs money in fees/subscriptions to be able to accept fiat. Costs nothing to accept Bitcoin.

Well done! Sats only is the way! The only reason I get paid anything in dollars now is because we publish our books on Amazon to get a wider reach, and they haven't started paying out in sats yet. They take a huge chunk of the price though, but it does mean we don't need to deal with the customer service part, and people can order books from whatever continent without me needing to figure out shipping. However, when we get more income, I'll probably order a box of books and then start to sell physical copies for sats too, cause like you said, "If you don't want your fiat, why do I?" (I don't)
So what's the difference to you Guy, other than missing out on a few Gemini cc points. Spend your sats if you're on the bitcoin standard. The alternative is to spend fiat on the cc but you will still eventually pay in sats? May as well support bitcoin only businesses with great products.
People always thought people wanting to pay sats would drive the adoption. It's people demanding sats
#zapsnag this note with 58k for 2 x 32oz jars of regular pasture-raised ghee and 1 x 26oz bag of Redmond’s real salt, an excellent every day use salt to use. Way better than table salt or Morton’s.
Yessir! Will have it out to you tmr. And I’m about to be on my last of the 3 bars of soap I ordered from you. Will take advantage of one of your zapsnags here in a week or 2 🫡

💯 I’ve often thought forced adoption will be the true catalyst of change.

Good for you. I won't accept fiat for graphics jobs. Strong Principles matter.
My strategy is to buy the bitcoin first using the fiat I would have used to buy something I was going to buy anyway. Obviously, don’t spend your stack. Actually I buy more Bitcointhan I’m going to spend in fiat. 👍🏼

Perhaps adding on your site a ‘how to’ for people who want your products, but are unfamiliar with Bitcoin purchases. That way you don’t lose potential customers, and they get their soap🤘🏻
I never understood this take. 🤷‍♂️ You want it so that you can absolutely verify that the fiat makes its way onto the blockchain; if not you, who else? 💁‍♂️ Use Strike/Square (or whatever service) so it's seamless & then convert as many cuckbucks as you can. You could even include a nice little fact sheet w/the the product that outlines the ethos of the company & why #Bitcoin / #BTC is a part of that ethos to increase awareness in a way that feels like discovery to the user; all this post does is mask bad UX as ethos. 🫴 We can tell each other to go fuck ourselves because we "get it" & it's funny, but abrasiveness doesn't breed normie adoption & limits your business's potential. Go win harder, fam. 🤙
тут все интереснее... обменивать товар на другой товар... если люди не знают что такое новый вид денег то им товар не нужен... вот электричество всем нужно... и платят биткоинами...

There are those who think of BTC similar to stocks and there are those who think of it as a superior money. Just make sure you replace whatever BTC you spend until you think you have enough for retirement.
But that’s assuming you have Stripe or some other credit card processor connected, which is a huge hassle

The fact they even have fiat to give you in the first place means they're short bitcoin. All the big boys are on zero.

I have $8.38 in my bank account. lol. And you are exactly correct. All you have to do is listen to Jack Mallers, and he can explain this quite easily. But most have been inundated with the HODL narrative so much, that they think it's just a SOV.
huh? - you are paid in fiat terms and convert your earnings to bitcoin - the soap is priced in fiat terms but purchased using bitcoin why do you have an issue spending sats?

My salary is converted to BTC via Strike and live off Gemini CC and use strike bill pay to pay the bill.
