We are playful when we engage others at the level of choice. When there is no outcome imposed on the relationship, there is only the **decision to continue it**.
This doesn't mean to be frivilous or trivial.. When relating as free persons with a relationship open to surprise, **everything** that happens is of consequence.
It is, on the other hand, _seriousness_ that closes itself to consequence because seriousness is a dread of the unpredictable outcome of open possibility. It is to push for a specific conclusion. a narrow, closed relationship burdened with expectations and dependencies.
To be playful is to allow for possibility whatever the cost to oneself.
