1. Internet connected closed source microphone in your living room, kitchen, and bedroom. 2. Internet connected closed source camera at your front door, surveilling your street. 3. Internet connected closed source watch with a microphone and health tracking. (apple 4. Internet connected closed source "AI powered" pin on your shirt, recording video and audio. Surveillance capitalism has dominated the last decade, without any laws compelling people to use them, these tools have been normalized. People have chosen to be digital slaves for a little extra convenience. FUCK THIS DYSTOPIA. Freedom tech provides us all the ability to say NO but it requires us to choose the more difficult path.

When these things are clearly explained to people they don't agree with them. Most people didn't actively choose to be digital slaves, they made the decisions they thought were best with the information they had. Unfortunately there's a general lack of knowledge and education around digital services. Ignorance? Sure. But people don't want to be slaves, they want to be free. Freedom tools are required, and also an emphasis on education is paramount. With clear understanding people will make the right choices.
Dear potential user, think about whether you actually need this as well as your phone. Are you so brain dead that you need to be told the answers 24-7 and so stupid that you can’t see the issues with this?
Closed source relevance ranking for all content on the internet, whether it is social media feeds or search engine results. How do we make an open source map of relevance for the internet? Nostr zaps are a start, but not sufficient.
That's the problem. Its the harder path. Hard sell to comfort, convenience loving humans.

Then, should we come to their aid when they get thrown in jail for that off color remark that got misinterpreted by the authorities?
That last sentence is the thing that worries me the most about everything we're trying to build. People are fundamentally super lazy and more than happy to trade their freedom so they don't have to think or do work. Are we doomed to always be building for the niche that will do the work?
