Gm nostriches, near perfect Spring morning in Wales (sunny, cool and relatively dry), breakfast sorted for Ma, kids sorted/ given a timeframe for when they have to shut off those damn devices, and I get an hour or so on the #bikestr. Added an extra hill and descent to the normal route and post #coffeechain and egg based breakfast, feeling pretty good. Now to get the kids out into the fresh air with the #dogstr

Gm nostriches, visiting ma, getting a chance to sort a trip to a hospital appointment a year after I “got to” hot foot it over to take over from my cousin after she had had a stroke. Tough times, but grateful I was able to be there and then step up with the fam to get her back to health. Great morning is wales, not the most sun, but fresh air, hills to talk on, animals out in the wild and the #dogstr to provide the excuse. Cinema later and then picked up from steak for dinner tonight to continue her road to recovery!!!

Prepping myself for the teaching and material that appears to suggest that the primary function of the HR department is now ensuring it discriminates against my demographic, because if you’re note chosen based on your abilities that magically results in more creative solutions (but less is said about delivery……..) Ah well, if nothing else, after moving a bit more than a metric ton of gravel yesterday, 250kg of cement, digging up some turf and quite a few steps, hoping the mind should at least be clear to let rip!!! Now to keep the inner Hyde under control so I don’t get too many “you can’t say that” comments, but you know what, Mr Hyde don’t give a shit!!!

Gm nostriches, happy Thursday Freaks. Up against it today (well a nice little physical challenge), base for the new “shed on stilts” needs to be done with lots of stones and concrete (making sure I lift with my legs and all that, everyone needs a strong dad!) and then by 4pm the shed itself should be delivered, 209kg of real world construction, dad Lego for me to get at!!!! 🎉 promise it’s a gift for the kids….. Really hoping the most difficult part is working out what the hell to do with the soil and turf I dig up, after I move it all to the front yard to attempt to revive the dodgy lawn there. If nothing else, it beats sitting at a desk with a computer that didn’t work which was my yesterday, hands down before it has even started. But first #coffeechain

Read a well know book, had a thought and then started writing, then revised heavily, and probably needs to be reworked some more, but @Notible very kindly notices is and sorted an audio version of it. Have a listen and let me know how you’re getting on managing your inner fiend.

The morning of criticising communism with @Peter McCormack and Emmet Connor. Something I enjoy, like arguing with an idiot, maybe unfair is someways, but something I believe I have a civic duty to do, if only the progressives in my life didn’t have quite so many Marxist tendencies!!!!! Have some sessions on Friday about HR, that appears to be primarily focused on DEI, so should be able to have some fun with that! When you give up the means of the production and property rights to the state, do the individuals realise they are making a deal with the devil that they don’t own their own time, but at the same time expect the “collective” to deliver the Utopia they’ve been promised.
