This is the coolest and most advanced piece of software i have ever worked on. the amount of optimization and engineering that went into this thing is nuts. The beginnings of a nostr browser for all platforms, with p2p and bitcoin wallet capabilities built in. You won’t have to be a bitcoin or nostr wizard to build the next 100,000 nostr apps. A future where apps automatically interoperate with each other and have bitcoin+zaps integrated with zero fuss. A future where users are in control of all their data across all the apps they use. The only way this will happen is if making a nostr app is as easy as making a webpage with a few lines of code. That is the longterm goal of #notedeck, and we’re just getting started. image

Nice work man. I still don't 100% understand Notedeck's use case. Will keep watching tho. But I've been playing around with an AI coder and can't believe how easy Nostr actually is to dev on. Everything plugs together quite well. image
I can't seem to get this to work on Windows. I ran the commands in command line that are on the Github page but it errors out after downloading and installing all the 533 components
You may not have started this project when you did if Apple didn’t reject your submission with zaps on Damus Perhaps a blessing in disguise Maybe this is how things were suppose to be
No one is ready for what 2025 nostr will bring. If your not bullish on Nostr, you probably aren't using it.

you can put your nsec in and it should just work. Click add account on the accounts page (bottom left profile picture button)
Sounds fantastic! I have been working on our collective's website in the last month and I am developing it with that approach in mind. At this stage I am far from it but I want to look into making the site as a NOSTR client. I think sovereign hosting need to be simplified for not so technical people like myself (without compromising security of course). If you want to incorporate different technologies together it can be quite a rabbit hole.

I’m happy you’re working on something you’re passionate about Good blessings on your family for 2025
Thats what he is calling what he just described. From what I gathered from podcasts, its like a Chrome-like internet browser, but for #nostr instead of web1/web2/web3 whateverness

Sweet. Please do ☺️🙏🏻
Looks like I’ll have to take some time to learn some rust, but this would be very amazing 🚀 I associated the name with the old tweetdeck never thought of that supporting that sort of apps 🔥

I wish self hosted relays where people can actually control and host their own data popped up and were as easy to install as all the nostr apps do 👀

I worked on a similar system back in 94’ when I was at Hewlett Packard. If you need consulting I can assist for $26/hr just let me know.
Legend. I’ve been wanting to figure out a way to build a new website/app for myself integrating all of these nostr protocols along side lightning and cashu. Also having the ability to have control on the backend for organizing inputs from submission fields and etc.

Is note deck an appropriate name for this vision? It just seems bigger than something that’s a multi-column client. I’d imagine these 2 things being separate and different? Notedeck sounds like a Damus product. The vision for a nostr app builder and network seems much larger than one client.

I'm sure there are better names, but this is the one I chose and stuck with. The project name was originally dominus which I didn't like. It is just a client that makes it easier to build apps, you can still build nostr clients the more difficult way, there should be easier ways to build nostr apps too. ways that are free from the web stack.

#notedeck will push the sale of ultra-wide monitors to new heights. Mark my words.
