🇹🇬 **Help Hope With Bitcoin get to Derby Digital!** We have an opportunity to be part of **Derby Digital**, happening on **August 22 in Lomé, Togo**. For those who don’t know it, **Derby Digital** is a digital and tech gathering that brings together creators, entrepreneurs, innovators and digital communities to connect, share ideas, learn and create new opportunities in Africa. And this year, **Hope With Bitcoin will be there.** 🧡₿ A huge thank you to **@mercianoalia from Stack Wallet** for offering us a **free pass** to attend. 🙏🏾 We said yes without hesitation. For us, this is more than just attending an event. It’s an opportunity to represent what we’re building in Benin, meet other builders, share our experience using Bitcoin for social impact, learn from others and hopefully create new connections that can help us do even more. But there’s one challenge: **We have the pass, but we don’t currently have the funds to make the trip.** We plan to travel from Cotonou to Lomé by road, stay for two days and return to Benin. Behind every moment of silence, sometimes, something is being prepared. ❤ And while we were quiet, a new action was taking shape at **Hope With Bitcoin**. 🎒 **The distribution of school supplies to 50 children** is getting closer. Our goal is simple: to help children who may not have the same opportunities as others start the new school year with a little more peace of mind, dignity… and above all, a smile. Today, we have crossed the most important milestones. 🙏🏾 Thanks to our community, we were able to raise the funds needed, and **the school supplies have already been purchased**. To everyone who contributed, shared, encouraged us, or simply believed in this initiative: **thank you.** ❤ You are the reason we can continue turning sats into real-world impact. ### 📅 Here’s how the activity will take place: **Friday, August 21, 2026 — First wave** We will distribute school kits to children we selected based on their families’ living conditions and circumstances. Around **25 families** have already been informed about the distribution. We are also preparing for a small margin in case more children show up than expected on the day. **Saturday, August 29, 2026 — Second wave** A second distribution is planned at **Bon Arbre Orphanage**. This second wave will also allow us to respond if the first distribution brings a larger number of children than we initially anticipated. 🎒 **This distribution marks the 2nd edition of our back-to-school campaign.** In 2025, during our first edition, we were able to distribute **22 school kits**. This year, we decided to go further. **22 children in 2025 → 50 children in 2026.** Because for us, impact should never stay in the same place. It should grow. And behind every school kit, there is more than just notebooks, pens, and school supplies. There is a child who can start the school year with a little more confidence.
