I have always been trying to think of Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter (now Xitter) in a decent light. I like how it became more 'free' in general, even though many of the people I used to follow are still banned.
I think of the bluecheck subscription as a good, free market, move and was planning to eventually get one when it's available in my country but I am fully aware of the shame that would come with it, oh how I secretly wished for this feature so I can support the business and platform i love in private.
But now that that platform is dead, the blue bird was a symbol of freedom and freedom of speech and now it's gone, I see no value in supporting the platform anymore. They murdered our symbol, they killed the bluebird, I know it sounds silly but this makes me angry.
