I don't overly care, but I am surprised with the amount of Trump simping. People want him to pump their stacks. They see him as good for Bitcoin, even though they will also say they don't like politicians.

Not me bro
You would have preferred us to elect… A globalist, somebody who would attempt to destroy even more of our freedoms? The candidate that did NOT promise to free Ross? The party that spent the last 4 years attacking my family’s savings? The party that put Gensler in office, the guy who works for big banks and Elizabeth Warren? We elected the outsider, the guy who has promised to shrink government and quit fking with bitcoiners. Perhaps he doesn’t keep his promises, we have not lost our humility and will continue to stack sats. But this was the best we could do under the circumstances. In the end, no bitcoiners are stating what your meme suggests, it’s an unfair characterization of the situation. I likely speak for many US bitcoiners when I suggest…I’m glad Trump won. Fuck the state. Onwards. 🫂

The difference is now the state(s) are bending the knee to Bitcoin not vice versa.
Yeah lmao these always crack me up. Kamala convinced the private company I was working for to force the covid jab on me or be fired with no severance. And then she continued to brag about it. Fuck Kamala.
except there's no unifying of Bitcoin and state happening. Those are just words without meaning. Bitcoin remains outside government control, but will hopefully co-opt government, at game theory dictates.

I know what you are saying but let them come. We are faster & brighter, let's show them the meaning of competition.

Very good. I was hoping for a meme like this to stop the nonsense of the last days. Congrats.
I think if Bitcoin succeeded, which is has, it was inevitable corporations and nations would buy it too. They aren't going to altruistically leave the good money all to the people.
Spicy thought experiment, if money is truly and finally separated from state, what is left? Wouldn't a new version of governance emerge that is based on the Bitcoin standard? Wouldn't that then be unifying Bitcoin and State? In other words, isn't Drake pointing at what we actually do want as the end game?
I thought the idea was that Bitcoin was money that the state doesn't invent (i.e. it's not "per fiat"), not money that they state doesn't use. Eventually everyone and everything will use Bitcoin. 🤷🏻‍♀️

nope. USAand others will get Bitcoin at price they deserve.
Bitcoin and state _cannot_ be unified. How do you suggest "we" stop the state from purchasing Bitcoin? Bitcoin is devouring _everything_, not the other way around. Why does all this sadden you? Zoom out bro View quoted note →

Short term gain to a long term detriment.
Everyone will get the Bitcoin they deserve / ask for. Some would even surrender their stack so that the Gov can create a "strategic Bitcoin reserve" ( 🤢 ) from their money.

happy B-day brother!
If it's not for everyone it's failed. The state can do as they please with it. Just like us. If they curtail our rights... That's a different problem.
When you have a permissionless network there's unfortunately going to also be participants you're not gonna like.
I don’t know the answer but wasn’t the point of the system to optimize collaboration between people that don’t trust or like each other? I get the concern and I can’t help but see it as a step we would’ve encountered anyway. But maybe Satoshi was right about the attention of wikileaks being too early, and BTC’s exposure was indeed too early. Perhaps we haven’t been round’ about and sly about it enough. On the other hand, bitcoin is not at a helpless stage either.
how does one keep btc out of the hands of agents of the state? or you just feel like people want this and shouldnt?
unify /yoo͞′nə-fī″/ transitive verb To cause to be one I don't listen to crazy people much, but I haven't heard anyone suggest that bitcoin and government should unify. Secondly, if they did, that's not WE, that's they or them. We, as far as I've seen, haven't become anything new.

Actually a better idea is to get the state to play by the rules of Bitcoin like each one of us, leveling the playing field. View quoted note →
