10 years no drank, one of the best decisions I have ever made!
I’m on 8 months. I think I’ll go a full year. I began to notice a change in my brain state around the 3 month mark. Noticeably less everyday anxiety. Higher clarity of thought. More presence in the moment etc… I may never return to drinking.
I once heard that you have to be about 6 weeks alcohol free before your liver starts healing itself. I was trying to go 6 months alongside full carnivore. But I still cheat on both every now and again. Perhaps after a birthday party in a few weeks I'll swear off it until June. Maybe if I make it I'll never go back if I get the same results as you.
This is a skill I'm still learning. I have some very persistent friends who drink every time we catch up. 🙄
3 years in, it's the change you need in your life. Alcohol is the mind and spirit killer. After a long break you also get to drink way more responsible and enjoy a good drink instead of just pouring down a beer for company. I really feel how toxic it is when I drink more then I should, last time in holidays I had one to many and instantly regreted it I also feel sad when I now look at the highly intoxicated youth which destroy themselfs on every given occasion until they vomit it all back out. It's a real societal sickness here that needs to change. This change, I honestly believe will come automatically with a rise in collective consciousnes and we already see the beginning of it. Looking forward to the hemp revolution. (Protects against Covid, and very useful in therapies otherwise, alternative to plastic, makes soil fruitful again, clothing can be made out of it, eatable, etc etc. ) Alcohol was also used as a weapon by the sovjet communist regime against an already hungry starving population in estern europe, after they confiscate the grain and means of production they turned the superflous food, like potatoes and wheat into alcohol, rather then giving the food back to the farmers which produced it in the first place and then got starved to death

Same, keep going!
When I realized alcohol was effecting me even when I wasn’t drinking that’s when I had to reexamine my relationship to it.
I have been thinking about this for a long time, I feel my body needs it. Okay, I'll join you.

Get off my feed boo boo.
Yes it is really bad for liver. Alcohol is the enemy of awareness. Also. I know that Jack is huge fan of meditation and meditation is done with the sole objective of increasing the awareness

Nice Jack! How you feeling? I quit 11 years ago….best thing I ever did for myself. Btw, thanks for all the great work you’ve done in the Bitcoin space. I’m looking forward to getting my Bitkey and having a go w it.
- alcohol-free beer is your friend - alcohol-free gin is a scam - being out with friends becomes a lot more about the conversations you'll have - everyone turns stupid at around 11pm - you're always happy about your choices when you wake up the next day
And for what themes go, people get suspicious. Gotta love somebody, be it sunshine or rainbow, Jack. Not a deviant theme, are ya, Mr Federal Theme For Cheats?!
Even the themed must make sense before people wonder. Unless going for that hope everybody forgets about me theme You soap opera

Coming up to a year without booze in April. When I'm out with friends I'm usually done by about 930-10pm. Previously I would have just stayed out drinking until the bar shut

there aren't too many situations where I can dunk on Jack. but I stopped counting somewhere around a thousand.
Good bro. 42 for me. But no further promises, somewhat that’s been the interval in recent years.
- alcohol-free beer is your friend I love Weissbier, I doubt I can find an alcohol free one :( > - alcohol-free gin is a scam I think 8 out of 10 people are unable to distinguish whether they are being served an alcohol-free cocktail

Cheers 🥂 No seriously, well done! I’ve a friend who just commented that an alcohol free January gave her clarity
I will soon have my first anniversary. One of the best decisions ever!
Hell yea dog! I actually stopped smoking weed too- sometimes I get small urges to 'relax' when I get stressed out, but I just stay strong and resist. It's been about one month now. I think imma quit that for good. It feels good to be sober.

I remember when I was little seeing video of Bruce Lee playing ping pong with nunchucks, I saw the Shaolin monks run barefoot on the tips of swords. Been no booze only herb and great diet for prolly 9 years now. New meaning to firing on all cylinders brother 🙏

Thank you, @jack. Whenever I get connected to you this way or that way, I don't know why and how but I feel a deep, submerged connection with you which uplifts me to a greater energy-field. 🧡🙏💜 After reading your tweet (and Snowden's) I joined Nostr during Christmas 2022. After you shared Darko Velcek's wordpress site, I researched him with a lot of time and then I began following his SHP protocol. I lose 5 kilo of extra eight. I feel much better. I feel blessed. 🌿🌺🌿
@jack I’m so glad to have found this amazing community! I was banned from X, so I have them to thank 🤣🤌🏽🧡⚡️ thanks for the zap brother! Congrats on freeing yourself from alcohol, it’s a great step and a massive contributor to ascending on a spiritual level. Keep on keeping on. ⚡️🙌🏼🛫

I absolutely love that for you 🙌🏻🫶🏻and for all of us, cos we need your brilliant mind and being fully on present here now. Personally I am not a super fan of the alcohol spirit. It tends to open one up to intruding energies. It's also highly inflammatory. Probably have a couple shots of mezcal a year these days over the last decade. I'm sorta brought back down to reality with your post here too, lol... 😅 My tendency to idealize people I respect and admire had me totally thinking @jack doesn't consume alcohol... I fully support you continuing this trend. Make it 90 days.
Ok, we just bonded. I fucking love Weissbier! Erdinger, Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, the Germans sure do know how to quench their thirst. I'm not drinking now though because of the gout.

You can do it!! 🥰🥰
Small nuance for cigarette smokers, they must consume alcohol. Smoking introduces methanol into the body. The protein that normally convert alcohol to glucose will convert methanol to formaldehyde, which turns tissue into plastic, which is called Multiple Sclerosis. This partly explains the heavy smoker voice. A glass a day will not keep the doctor away, but will keep glucose converting protein busy, avoiding methanol turning into formaldehyde.

Me trying to kick soda habit in 2007. Lasted 40+ days into the new year then decided I’d earned the right to a celebratory soda. Struggled on and off the rest of the year but got the hang of it by the end. Now happily soda free since at worst 2008. I drink water and hot water. Alcohol was never a thing. Moral of the story, grab a beer to celebrate 🍺You’ll be just fine. Congrats!
the red fruits have things in them that increase insulin resistance the meat has fats in it that let you fuel on fats and reduce your oxidative load we are all a bit different in what we can tolerate and i personally am very sensitive to sugars and never liked them and learned recently that my addiction to fried potatoes was related to sugar and it was killing me the jesus diet is definitely all right with me :D honestly, when you add it all up for most places and most humans eating sheep and drinking a little wine is a recipe for health
