Bitcoin Standard and your Broken Money are the two books I recommend to anyone wanting to understand Bitcoin more, especially the “why”. I am currently reading Saifeden’s Principles of Economics which is also excellent.

Together with a technical book named "Grokking Bitcoin" from Kalle Rosenbaum, where the algorithms that ensure Bitcoin as a Accounting booking method is tamper-proof are shown, there is no doubt that Bitcoin is the only sane international accounting method.
The accounting system used by fiat world is from year 1300, and it's easy -to-fraud chacteristics made it be the L2 network for Gold which crated our current easy-to-fraud fiat world.
Bitcoin is the next system, fraud-free!

What I know from his book and yours is that gold is used as an Implementation of accounting system In which transtitons cannot be frauded due to the scarcity of gold: transfer from economic Energy from one person to another can be done my "moving Gold" between them. Gold is pretty scarce, so it's pretty difficult to take transactions.
The accounting system of fiat started as a new later on top of gold, but this system is easy to fake because you just need ink and paper (or an entry in an excel table) to fake entries.
