You think? Not so sure. This is why we created tlsnotary btw (albeit it was a hack and what you really want is for the actual author to digitally sign in the first place).
obviously having the author sign directly is best but short of that having a reputable archivist sign and broadcast messages in real time, in a format that is easy to store, distribute, and cross check is a pretty big win
"reputable archivist" - does archive.* not count there? I think to whatever extent we actually needed evidence for something, the cpof of the archiving entity is a big problem. (Maybe 1000 nostr archivers, all signing. That's something, but not if they all repost one guy, hehe) Mostly it's not much of a problem with news, events, because of global broadcast online. But the advent of convincing AI is going to bring this issue to the forefront soon, I guess.
A new era in transparency is in display. We are the captains now. image

In India anytime the government is about to do something illegal they shutdown the internet in the region. How does one get around that?

Massive adoption of Nostr could help. However, at this stage, it's difficult. Unfortunately, the onboarding experience is confusing. The concepts of public and private keys aren't easy to grasp for most users who are used to the traditional email and password system.

Don’t call them the government Gundas of India 🇮🇳
There's strong opportunities between a reticulum mesh network and a diversified bridges to the Internet: StarLink, broadband, mobile, etc.
I love that your heart is just to step in, not make assumptions about what they need, and simply ask how we can help. The Turkish people know what they need more than any other people group -but we’re here to help. Love this. And I’m thankful for you, O-deezy.
There are always ways. In 2019, Iran shutdown most Internet access. People resorted to dialup modems to connect to international orgs that provided them with (very slow) Internet access. Technologies like packet radio, point to point WIFI and even optical links can be used to connect across borders. Fortunately, most governments realize that shutting down access completely is terrible for the economy. They tend to prefer filtering and partial shutdowns which provides opportunities to sneak traffic out over the allowed channels. Technologies like VPNs and TOR can be used. There are also quite a few lesser know techs that let users disguise Internet traffic. There is no definitive answer here, because filtering tech and allowed channels evolve constantly. Satellite networks like Starlink are usually not helpful because they don't want to defy local governments that can ban them.

Ok for those that are new to President Trump's posts he and or Dan write and do very cryptic messaging with his old Twatter account and Truth Social account. Almost every post that either one of them have deleted are special due to time (time stamp) of post, content (misspellings are important), and time of deletion. Also any thing posted might have military time meaning. A civilian might think of it as just 5:00PM but someone with military background might view it as 1700 or a letter Q. Think of it as a computer language to an untrained individual. The person might not have a clue but someone with experience in the language totally understands. Twatter was setup for day one to communicate in shorthand and or cryptic messages. Example: GYFAIHRNBIBY. If Mom said that, she was serious.

Dear Odell, I have checked primal search with turkey protests and found not much content. May below link explain the issue we are facing. We need to shout out! Politically motivated arrests are unlawful. Turkey need democracy! Hundreds of thousands of pro-democracy protesters have taken to the streets of Istanbul, Turkey, in support of jailed mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, who is seen as a rival to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

When the surveillance system is turned around so that citizens know more about their government than the government knows about citizens, they’re gonna wish they didn’t build it. Bwaaahaaha😂😂😂 View quoted note →
I mean theyll naturally love an open protocol they can siphon data from even easier, but nothing would stop them from that anyway lol At least people have the ability to own their data and their identities, thats the important part

The freedom fighters become the next tyrants is the history of the world.
If it's a pro democracy protest then it's a CIA op. No one wants a Republic protest because that involves critical thinking.
What do you expect from Erdogan? He's a bloodthirsty dictator that sold his own people out to serve israel. Of course he is unpopular. He's the one behind the HTS terrorist group that have been massacring Christian Syrians.

Unlawful and politically motivated. Every day a new accusation, today it was threatening the prosecutor. Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu defeated Erdogan 3 times in the elections and they are trying to eliminate him as the strongest candidate. He cancelled his university diploma unconstitutionally with the signature of the men he appointed, so that he could not be a candidate, and now they are fabricating a crime to get a political ban, they are completely lawless. https://nostr.band/?q=Ekrem+Imamoglu here are the news
Not really, it is being locked down. Try scraping Reddit or X or Facebook. They will catch it and block you.

What type censorship are you talking about ? there are many type of censorship . i give you example . Military censorship ( restricting information for national security such as war time communication or classified leak) , Economic censorship ( limiting speech or access due to financial pressure , like paywall or supressing content that threatens economic interest ) , Alghoritmic Censorship ( automated system or supressing content based on opaque criteria often digital platform ) , Political censorship ( suppress of dissenting political views ) now which one in Turkey you talking about ?
