Good evening.
In August, the US government took $307 billion in taxes and spent $687 billion, for a deficit of $380 billion. This works out to be an annualized deficit of $4.56 trillion.
Have an awesome weekend.

Instead of talking about budget deficits in absolute terms, it would be instructive to frame them in relative terms.
That’s, how much, as a percentage, did/does the debt increase/decrease monthly/yearly etc. That way, we can compare apples to apples.
Today’s $380B and next decade’s $380B are worlds apart. But 10% is 10% year after year after year.
They know that the end game is nigh.
It’s like what was a slow bleed, is rapidly becoming an obvious river of blood
Mortally wounded? Maybe. Hence the idea of buying some btc just in case is such a good thing
$4.56T annualized deficit on $35.4T debt = 12.9% annualized debt growth.
$4.56 trillion is almost 4 times the bitcoin total market capitalization!

Lots of bureaucrats suckling at the teets of "the peoples money"
Positive vibes🤣
Looks like the US Government did the "Chase glitch" this month, too.
Shocking numbers. Not defending the government here, but isn't it a little misleading to annualize based on a single month?
Thanks! Is there a chart of this over time? Would be interesting to see the flow.
as @Lyn Alden would say

James ffs
Let me guess, they got away with it too? If it was you who owed the tax man, there will be no stone unturn. Ironic huh?🤔🤔🤔
Why you gotta ruin my weekend?
Controlled demolition of the West!
Inflation generally accelerates for currencies especially the ones in the throws of death.

It’s just math……
And the math doesn’t look good.

Most of the spending is related to buying btc right? …
This came up during my dinner conversation but I didn’t have these numbers, any chance you have links to sources or know where to look this up?
Found it, was surprisingly easy, figure 1 is where it’s at:

I recently shared this to some of my normie friends and their answer was "this is because of big corporations". Don't know what else to say but hfsp
😮💨
You have an awesome weekend too @james 😂. (Funny not funny)
Pretty soon a loaf of bread will be $10.
Thanks for sharing the numbers, @npub1cj94...0efa

Nothing is going to stop this train!
Unfortunately not most of it, but probably will be in the future and then financial repression will emerge!
Good one!
It's going to be at 40 trillion at the end of the year! Forth turning!
I was having a good weekend and then I just read your note lol. Its crazy isn't it. I wonder how long the dollar can last before it implodes. Good for us, more they print, more bitcoin sky rockets!
