When my parents (who were boomers) died I went around undoing a bunch of the bullshit they had left me with. Relationships, obligations, patterns of thought, secrets I was supposed to keep, I set fire to it all and walked away. Something tells me we are about to live through something like that collectively on a massive scale.

I agree with you Fren and was just having this very conversation with a Fren of mine during lunch today. Many people that we've tried to wake up during the last several years have been unmoved along with all of the 🐑🐑🐑🐑 sheeple and are going to be in for a rude awakening. I know my family is fully awake and understand the benefits of tools like #Nostr and why #Bitcoin is going to be at the core of our future freedoms.
The World Economic Forum was terribly sure that "By 2030 you will own nothing, have no privacy and will be eating ze bugz...". I've always seen that as a bit of a threat myself!
The obligations you torched personally are the same ones nations eventually burn. Debts, illusions, and promises nobody believes in anymore.

I can't think of much worse than my kids talking about me when I die, like you have here. Incredible.

That catchty one-liner is your justification for dismissing and what seems like insulting the people who brought you into this world? Come on man.

Feels like there’s a large cohort, spanning a few generations, that did not have great family relationships. A swing back to placing family back in a place of importance would be encouraging. Good for you for walking away from the bullshit.
Sometimes the best growth comes from letting go of negative energy, toxic relationships, and situations that no longer serve you. Life feels lighter when you clear that space and focus on the people who truly matter. I’m grateful every day for the family and friends who bring real love, support, and joy. And especially my kids. I know everyone doesn’t have this in their lives. But the first step to move forward is taking care of yourself.
Painful to lose parents - glad you did something constructive with it. This is the way 💪⚡️🔥

Yes and we also can’t discount luck
No where in the above paragraph did I insult my parents. What i’m expressing is that, like many of us, I had to unlearn and undo patterns, baggage, and unhealthy dynamics that were passed down. It’s not about blaming them as people, but about choosing a different path. If that’s an insult to them then it is what it is.

Gotta destroy all the horrible shot the boomers built in pursuit of money and riches. All at the expense of their own children who can’t afford a house today.

I have a good relationship with my parents and do my best to honor them, but I still take note of reality -- the disservices they inflicted on me. I don't hold it against them. They did the best they knew how, and I still appreciate that. I like to learn from (and forgive) others' mistakes rather pretend they weren't there or repeat them myself.

That’s the dumbest comment I’ve ever read on here. There are many incapable people that happen to bring kids into this world that deserve zero respect.
It’s not an insult to reflect on family dynamics at all. I celebrate you doing this. Takes courage to discuss this openly, especially with toxic bitcoiners who might shame you for sharing an insight you have discovered. I do love bitcoiners but unfortunately I’ve encountered very few who have done inner work. Good on you brosif.
I see a glimpse of that fire every day with my patients; they are challenging everything they've ever been told about health and have zero trust in conventional care. 🔥
GM Hodl, Funny you say that. I was just explaining to my son today, a teenager, that it's important to spend time with his Grandparents and they have much wisdom to offer him, however, there are some things that they believe which may have been useful to them but may not prove to be as valuable today for him moving forward. That he knows something that they find difficult to understand.

I'm dumb? Great. Your ability to respect anyone seems unlikely.

We are looking for an investor who can loan our holding company 237,000 US dollars. With this money, we will open a farm in Baku, Azerbaijan to produce animal-based food. We will also make our own animal feed, so our products will be healthier, better quality, and cheaper. Because we sell quality products for less and have strong advertising, we will sell more worldwide and make big profits. Why Azerbaijan? Because animal farming makes a lot of money there, but few people do it. That’s why we will earn more by starting in Azerbaijan. Additionally, by producing our own animal feed, we will be able to sell healthier, higher quality animal products at a lower price. Since we can sell quality products cheaply and thanks to our strong advertising network, we will be able to sell more internationally and make huge profits. The reason for establishing the business in Azerbaijan is that animal husbandry is a very profitable business in Azerbaijan, but since there are very few people doing animal husbandry, establishing the farm in Azerbaijan will provide us with more income. Your profit: You will lend 237,000 US dollars to our holding company and when 22.03.2026 comes, you will receive your money back as 953,000 US dollars. Your earnings will be great. When 22.03.2026 comes, you will get your money back as 953.00 US dollars. You will lend 237,000 US dollars to our holding company and when 22.03.2026 comes, you will receive your money back as 953,000 US dollars. When 22.03.2026 comes, I will give you back your money in the amount of 953,000 US dollars. That means you will earn 716,000 US dollars profit in just 6 months. If you like this project and want to loan us money, message me on WhatsApp or Telegram for more details. If our project is suitable for you and you would like to lend money to our holding, send a message to my WhatsApp number or Telegram username below and I will give you detailed information. The toxic part is where you and the op brush aside the disgusting tone of the post with "looking inwards" and dress the room with back pats about self reflection. Unbelievable.
Caring about appearances, thinking you can’t do this or that because other people might perceive you negatively etc…
And most are vaxxed, so that number is probably coming down Also, cost of healthcare (hospice) is going up, and with inflation the 60/40 portfolio is not gonna last
8 years and the whole world shifts on its axis. Millennials will be in their forties mainly. Gen z in their 30’s. None of them believe in the boomer institutions.
You should live at least into your 80s if you take decent care of yourself and no major medical problems. My uncle made it to 92 but he basically wore himself out driving all around trying to take care of too much stuff.

Mr. one-liner (or two at best?) shows up on the scene. His contribution here is predictable I guess.
