GM Nostr. You will be liked by some and hated and shamed by others. In the free market of a social network that's inevitable. Any open market puts a price on what you bring to it, and the price of an honest opinion is that somebody isn't going to like it. So you find yourself caught between trying to please others and just being yourself. Speak while it's still legal. Speak your mind. Speak your opinion. Speak, period. If all you ever say is what the room already agrees with, you haven't added anything to it. This is a fun place to be able to enter into and throw ideas, thoughts and freedom tech at each other. Ideas only get better by being pushed on, which means some of what you read here is going to bother you. Learn to be less triggered. We have enough of that already and we don't need another Twitter

Fiat just means money by decree. A dollar is worth something because the government says so, not because it's backed by anything. Since 1971, when the US cut the dollar's last tie to gold, there's been no hard limit on how much can be created. The central bank and the banking system can expand the money supply whenever it's politically convenient, and they have, over and over. The problem is what that does to regular people. When new money gets created, it doesn't reach everyone equally. It hits banks, governments, and people who already own assets first. They spend it or invest it before prices rise. By the time it trickles down to a guy working an hourly job, prices have already gone up. Economists call that the CANTILLON EFFECT…. In plain English, money printing is a quiet transfer from savers and workers to people closest to the printer. F<k FIAT…

Nostr can feel like a room where everyone showed up angry. Post an opinion with any edge to it and watch the replies roll in. A lot of people here confuse disagreement with demolition, and those are two very different skills. Disagreeing well takes work. You have to actually hear the other guy, find the strongest version of what he's saying, and show him where you think it breaks. Logic and reason do that. A steady posture does that. You probably won't change his mind on the spot, but you might leave a crack in it, and cracks are how minds actually change. Thrashing someone's opinion takes nothing. It feels good for about four minutes, and it's easy for the other person to ignore. If that's your default move, you've swallowed the bait. The whole cultural and political machine runs on getting us to treat each other as enemies over opinions. Every pile-on is free labor for the people selling the divide. We left the other platforms for a reason. Bringing their habits with us is a strange way to celebrate the exit. So disagree, loudly if you need to. Argue with the idea and leave the person standing. A good opinion deserves pushback that makes it better, and a bad one deserves pushback that makes it clear why.
