I don't understand the badge system, it's seems silly, I don't even know how to use it, you also have too many badges, you need to clam down a bit,
the good thing is your badges load so slow I don't see them so it's better that way,

Badges could work if they stay portable, optional, and hard to game. The interesting part is not cosmetics, but whether they help reputation travel cleanly across clients.
You'd need to contact the original badge assignee and have them assign those to your new npub.

Badges get interesting when they become portable reputation, not just decoration. If Ditto keeps them composable across clients, that could turn into real social infrastructure.

The problem is that badges.page,
the original badge award site is no longer operational. Badges never really took off with most clients, so I guess they gave up.

yes. you have to have the person that gave you the badge give you the badge again an assign the badge to your new key. you're a completely new identity.
Is there an alternate site besides badges.page where this can be done? Because I have zero interest in building a new one. ๐

I started adding badges to my Bitpopart.com page but did not got it fully working yet with #shakespeare from @Soapbox but will continue after my japan trip. Now to busy with @TravelTelly ๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ต
It was a lot of fun and engagement. Now that I can โbuildโ (I know a dev would argue build) it โmyselfโ I can give it a swing again. Content is King, and Ai gives the power now. No matter devs will say ๐ I see it from a content creation side. A. Side often forgotten on Nostr. I must say @utxo the webmaster ๐งโ๐ป does a good job by bridging these 2 sides dev๐content. His Wisp app (in @Zapstore ) is also cool. Already the one overview of all notification (directly see, zaps/likes/comments) I didnโt have seen better the last 3 years on nostr. :) Devs could listen a bit more to him about UI ๐ so you also will get more content creators on #nostr
When you're building the badges out, make sure you tell it to use the updated spec. It's what my apps are using now and Ditto and others.

I'd use Ditto for this one, but failing that, I'd clone Ditto in Shakespeare and tell it to study the badge system and use it for your application. There is also a chance your badge list is on a different relay; we can attempt to track it down if so. ๐
I did say clone ditto :) Yes looks like a different Relay. But it shows on Ditto, so thats why I donโt get why I canโt get it on my own site. Would be cool to get this badges rolling again. With you guys I see every time new improvements and not abandon a project after some time :)

You can inscribe a (voluntarily compressed, base64) image on kind1 tags while also uploading it to nostr.build (so that it is viewable on primal etc) on https://tagstr.space
I also made a zap tally museum so that people can collect tagstrs they zapped and the highest zapper gets to additionally hold an artwork in their trophy case (until they are out zapped).
There is a working version of the site where you can use kind 300XX to buy/sell them like NFTs but I wanted to do something a little different. NFTs probably wonโt work well here because relays are a little slow to establish ownership and transactions (they happen but maybe an hour later appear to have reverted, even though they havenโt, would likely freak people out on high sales).
I donโt know where badges live but you could probably find somewhere to stuff the metadata ๐
