I had the honor of working with @BitPopArt at the AOS Convergence hackathon last week. We worked together on a gameified mechanism for establishing physical trust, something that could be replicated with limited resources and technology. The outcome of that work became Wordsoul:

Wordsoul establishes a chain of connection via a physical object, a treasured totem identified via a symbol and phrase. You draw a symbol using lines on a 4x4 grid on the item, sharing a special phrase when exchanging ownership from one totem owner to the next. You entrust your totem to a friend, and they in turn entrust it to another. This action creates a chain of physical attestation and trust between each person who has received the totem, symbol, and words. The "totem" can be created from anything, on the spot, assuming you have the ability to draw your symbol and speak your chosen words. When claiming the totem, you can mark logs, letters, pictures, location - each log embedded with an attestation event to verify your claim; see @Nathan Day 's NIP for it here:
