Damn son you just keep inventing stuff with miners, eh? And all DIY! Mad respect π π
Awesome work Rev!
Keep up the innovation π€π½
The future right there! Amazing work. Let me know when youβre ready to take investmentπ

This is a really cool concept you are testing. Keep us posted.
Living in AZ, bitcoin air conditioning excites me. ππ

This is so cool!
Interesting.
It is a shame propane refrigerators need 150c or it would be an easy conversion.
I'm pretty sure a refrigerator would work if you put the wet clay under vacuum with a valve that would close to recharge it.
Depends on your cold side temp.
I was thinking the opposite direction. That we could reuse a lot of readily available apparatus to make cooling out of miner heat if the temp for the ammonia conversion was lower.
When I saw it didn't work I figured I'd post anyway to save anyone else with the same thought the hassle of looking up that temperature.
i think it's a dehumidifier?
Excellent work my friend.
Yes!
Hydro Miner can do this
Krazy Karl always up to something cool as fuck

**Bitcoin mining air-conditioner proof of concept!**
A S19 KPro running at 1400w on 110v power blows hot air past a radiator coated with wet zeolite clay inside an empty s19 enclosure. The moisture in the wet clay aggressively evaporates as the hot dry air blows past it creating a cooling effect. The cooled water from the radiator is pumped to a second radiator which absorbs heat and humidity from the air creating a cooler ambient air temperature. This is just the initial setup to see if the concept even remotely works. It's clear from a few sort tests that it is working so I'll continue to iterate on the design.

150C? I thought the asic chips cook well under 100C chip temp? Also 150C would require special fluids or very high pressures to avoid boiling.

bitcoin mining evaporative cooler lol whaaaaaat! π€―
Badass. Interested to see how effective it is!

This kind of stuff is my favorite thing about bitcoin! I hope it works!
Great project!
Look into evaporative cooling pads and structured packaging. Make sure to also add some form or water reservoir to act as a continuous water supply, so it never gets dry and achieve the opposite effect you want!
Did a second test today with more positive results
This is really "cool". In summer when solar electricity is abundant there is more value in cooling rather than heating.
Are you familiar with "absorption cooling"?
Yeah, the next level is absorbtion. It's just not as simple as evaporaton for me. I try to use what I have already as much as possible. Absorbtion is how I would do a refrigerator or freezer.
Proof of concept: Bitcoin mining air-conditioner! It's working!
Checkout the latest update on the air-conditioner. It's cooling, it's working!
I'm proud to be a finalist in the
@ATL BitLab l Battle of the mine hackers hackathon! This is the kind of thing that makes it easier for the everyday pleb to participate in Bitcoin maximally!

Have you seen tech ingredients stuff on YouTube?
Specifically the dessicant based solar air conditioning.
Seems apropos
Lfg!
Dude, thank you so much for posting this! Holy shit! you're an inspiration!!!
This method is used in arid areas:
Yes, I watched all those videos when I was researching for this project!
No he is not you can reach him on X. Anything we can help with?
Oh man. I didn't even know you could do this. Awesome!
Yesss! Good to see this sort of stuff in the wild!
Keep up the great work. I'm excited to follow.
Especially if you can make valuable use of the thermal energy transformed to coldth

He's interested in using ASICs for not only heating, but also cooling. He'd appreciate the fuck out of this.

Respect. Keep the good work and thanks for share it.
To clarify and sum it up , it can be done(at least I believe personally ) with hydro miners putting out 75c water and the adsorption chillers needing 70c minimum to operate .. itβs tricky cause they are currently large scale units (30 ton) and use ammonia. But Iβve been asking as digging deeper and found some more people who maybe working on it .
Itβs open source idea now , and a race to products :):)
More as it develops?
Hash2cool ?
Anyone seen this? A way to take asic heat and make cool air?

This is in amazing. Currently running a modified S19k pro with 1 hash board - 30 TH/s at 540 watts on a 110v outlet. Efficiency 18J/TH. Not bad! Home mining is the best.
