This is the end of Europe. The long standing expression of unique philosophical ideas is now illegal. If posting "untrue" quotes is illegal then it is illegal to post quotes of Jesus because you can't prove it is true.

It's their laughter that gets me to pay attention.
Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look upon them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death. If, however, you are indulgent, but unable to make your authority felt; kind-hearted, but unable to enforce your commands; and incapable, moreover, of quelling disorder: then your soldiers must be likened to spoilt children; they are useless for any practical purpose. Sun Tzu, The Art of War Breaking the law? Nahhhhh
Nostr doesn't protect you against prosecution of online crimes. That requires pseudonyms, network level obfuscation, and opsec.

The law is obviously stupid. But how exactly would be posting stuff on Nostr (as opposed to, say Twitter) put above it?? You'd obviously be as liable as when you posted the stuff somewhere else. And relay operators would as easily bend over and give out metadata as X, Facebook etc.
Blasphemy is fine but if you want to eat make sure that you do not insult anyone. Take the mark of the beast instead. image Revelation 13 War in the Sea and on Land 1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

They couldn’t be more villainous if they tried.
And you're not just posting to one (as with X & Co), but many. Chances of one being in the EU, and within the reach of authorities there are pretty high. Besides, most users here tied their identity to their twitter account, so if they're doxxed there they are doxxed here
Funny thing is, it's been to US which has exported the whole identity politics and woke mind virus to us in the first place. Via USAID and co. Now don't pretent y'all had nothing to do with it. Europe is guilty though to have been to weak to resists this obviously idoicy. America is (or at least seems to be) lucky to have turned things around. Good for you

Was findest du so verrückt daran. Findest du Drohungen und persönliche Anfeindungen sind Teil einer freien Gesellschaft? Ich würde echt gerne hören aus welchem grund es wichtig ist solche äusserungen zu tolerieren?
Typically german thing about this is not the laws themselves, but how confidently they cite it, with that glassy look in their eyes; without awarenes, that it sounds insane. "It is illegal" or "it is the law" are common every-day phrase in the life of a German.
They all laugh together when talking about how shocked people are when they take phones (property). Governments take your stuff and laugh about it afterwards. Criminal.
Yep, even though #Nostr does not resolve this specifically. If the note stays about and you're identifiable, these communists can cut you down easily. Nostr is to make things online unstoppable, we still have to solve the IRL issue.

Everything starts like this…. Then they call it GESTAPO .
The laughing about stealing people's phones is the most telling aspect. These people are controlling monsters that beleive they are doing good work for humanity. I bet they have no idea what they are creating though, but it's obvious they love the power. Reminds me of what C. S. Lewis said > Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

What are the implications that the Holocaust 'facts' that we are totally not allowed to question imply about who gets to write to the history books, and their ability, or lack thereof, to control the past? Why would hate speach be any different?

if you write things on Nostr under your real identity then obvs they could still come after you
Videos like this are often made by the regime to scare people. It is a type of material designed to scare tye citizen: "Look what could happen to you!" In reality, you can get away with a lot. Keep speaking up. Make anon accounts, if needed. Remember, they want you scared.
I am currently living and working in Germany and I can say it is an interesting time. Especially with the elections coming up this weekend. I don't think the majority already gets it, but more and more people are speaking up and demand change.

let's keep our fingers crossed. it's incredible how far the communist mentality of total control has gone !
Yes, it makes law enforcement completely arbitrary. This one law is all they need to terrorize the population.

An app to help Germans insult each other online? Maybe a German could just hover the cursor over a palette of insults to craft the needed phrase. Then it is posted to nostr for all to appreciate.

Well, they definitely had a hand in it. You should really say Christianity built the west. Each of the most influential early European populations who helped shape Western Civilization were Christian at the height of their power and influence, including Greco-Roman, Germanic, French, English, etc.
Along the time scale of centuries, yeah, the Roman empire began to decline awhile after Christianity became "mainstream," but that's not to say that Christianity isn't responsible for the peak of the good that was accomplished in culture via the Roman empire. Before the Roman decline, Christianity spread throughout Europe, to French and Germanic lands first, and started a centuries long process of increasing cultural and academic boom that climaxed in the Renaissance. Only after the protestant revolt and during the French revolution, which were rejections of Traditional Authority and Christianity respectively, did the West really struggle. The Muslim invasions of the Middle East and the West were a definite hiccup in Western culture, but that's why we had Crusades. Not to say corruption didn't seep into things time to time, but by and large, it is thanks to Christianity that we have our culture today, even the parts that were not robbed of us by modernists.
