The shooter was clearly a deranged person acting under demonic influence. That much is clear by what was in his journal.
Prayer is very much part of the solution here. This was not ideologically motivated like people think. It’s not a right vs left issue. The battle is spiritual. Our society is sick. No amount of gun control control or cultural win over leftists is going to fix this problem.

If as a country, US citizens are worried about having to carry guns to prevent take over by military, they should've stopped watching news since trump took over as president.

Look at Switzerland all healthy men 18-34 are required to do some military service if I am not mistaken and they allowed and generally pushed to keep their assault rifles and pistols. They have a very low rate of gun violence. Taking guns away from people means only the criminals have guns.

But since you're apparently eager to explore other options, have you considered treating gender dysphoria as a mental health issue and figuring out how to help people accept their birth sex instead of promoting transgenderism as the cure? Seems like there's been a whole slew of trans-identified shooters recently, clearly something is not working with that approach.
