It has audio/video calls, gift-wrapped private DMs, & both private and public group chats, light discovery page & minimal design. It's also a great default app for all Nostr notifications.

A kind of DM note that is unsigned. To prove its you who sent it, it uses a wrapping (other notes) that dont have the message but have the signature.
So dividing these notes, it is like message itself can't be proved to be yours, unless you also have the wrapping, and because of that there is a plausible deniability.

You can download from github, Go to release tab for all the download options. You can also use F-Droid. Btw, if you are using github, add it in your Obtainium for quick updates.

The Amber release for example is signed by the developer himself. We hope to do the same for 0xchat soon

Not if you're using Unified Push with ntfy for notifications. There seems to be a bug in #Amber that breaks UP Auth events for both Amethyst & 0xchat. The only way UP works for either is to disable Amber and sign in directly with nsec.
Once we have truly private DMs, Nostr will be unstoppable.

Yep
I recommend suggesting to the developer that they convert their PWA into a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) APK using the PWABuilder website.
It's a straightforward process that only takes a few clicks & APK will be also verified by PWA codebase.
Play Store and the App Store both suggest this approach for PWAs.

Yeah, sorry for the miscommunication. The images sent via DM are end-to-end encrypted, while others (audio, video) are not. Will fix it in the next update.

Actually zap.store fetches most apps from Github. But with additional security guards (checking hashes signed by the dev), web of trust display and better discovery. And soon zaps. Obviously Github directly has way more apps, but we're getting there.

Been fiddling with this for the last day, got rid of about 3 or 4 grouped folder things on my home screen that I was always fiddling with.
After some adjustments of finger habits, I think I like the one app in alphabetical order as a launchpad without having to scroll through a couple sub 'pages' or whatever in the way I had it set up before.
Simple but feels like it cleaned me up some. π«‘

I didn't think I'd like the big grid of everything but I actually do.
I haven't messed around with the saved url links or notes. I wish the few PWAs could be pinned like the apps, but don't hate the consolidation.
I like the grid too. For the urls I put nostr build tenor and a news site so far
