PWAs are planned, it's one way we'll support iOS. Also experimented with packaged PWAs, that don't require visiting a website

I recommend suggesting to the developer that they convert their PWA into a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) APK using the PWABuilder website. It's a straightforward process that only takes a few clicks & APK will be also verified by PWA codebase. Play Store and the App Store both suggest this approach for PWAs.
