Good point on survivorship bias. Since we can see that BSV continued operating and no node operators on BSV suffered any legal consequences as a result of illegal content hosted on their machines, we can safely move on to worrying about other threats.
👇🏻 No way these guys understand these concepts…….. Folks that support V30 will not even accept, address or acknowledge that inscriptions could have been patched and prevented……… They are now cheerleaders for the next dumpster fire, V30…….. Kinda shocked how weak V30 is despite the deep pocket cheerleaders it has……. We will hold the line……. View quoted note →
oh you're going to disintermediate the entrenched trillion dollar rent-seekers and theyre NOT going to use whatever leverage they possibly can to protect themselves? good luck with that.

I can put illegal data on a bip-444 compliant chain. The irony is that generally it is the group of people obsessed with csam that have the hard drives full of it so I suspect we will see csam attacks from the knots crew is a post fork world and bitcoiners will likely ignore the withering lukecashjr coin.
cool "some lawyers said its ok this one time" clearly that means it could never ever be a problem wtf is wrong with you man? when did NOT thinking adversarialy become ok? I dislike Kratter as much as the next guy but BSV surviving is NOT proof illegal content on the chain will not be an issue. maybe its just nobody cares about BSV...?
open up a PR to allow only the bytes you need at a consensus level, how many bytes is it anyway 100? everyone should be ok with this, the reason and use case is only your need at least for now.
there are a variety of "cypherpunk solutions" (forking off is one for example) none of them involve hand-waving it as a non-issue "because BSV" or because some lawyers said its ok this one time
Absolutely! 💯 For just $20 a month, you can join the Casa fam and take advantage of our solid infrastructure. We got your back on the legal stuff! Let’s go! 🚀 #CasaFam #LegalEase

First they sell out to VCs, Shitcoiners and the real dirty fiat created out of thin air. Then they censor your opinion on Github. Then they force a controversial change that already allows porn videos and any kind of spam on the blockchain. Then they lie that filters don't work. Then they tell you your node does not matter. Then they tell you that your opinion is rubbish - Pleb Slop. They don't know what spam is? They don't know what Bitcoin is? They are compromised. View quoted note →

FUCK 💩💩💩Citrea and Chainway SHITCOINERS💩💩💩! Zerobase that uses the same shitcoin technology like Citrea is going to 0! image "ZEROBASE is a decentralized cryptographic infrastructure network that enables verifiable off-chain computation using zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) and trusted execution environments (TEEs). It powers products like zkStaking, zkLogin, and ProofYield—bridging institutional DeFi, user privacy, and real-world asset strategies. ZEROBASE delivers programmable, compliance-aligned staking and transparent cryptographic assurance without exposing sensitive data." View quoted note →

Don't we all agree that the law fair imposed on tornado cash developers and samurai developers is a travesty? And it's that kind of power you're assuming won't be leveraged against CSAM on a node? If software developers are at risk what makes you think that node runners aren't?
Casa is more cypherpunk than KYC'd and custodial options but less cypherpunk than DIY full stack self custody. Many find the convenience worth the trade-offs. Plus we make it simple to check your wallet history against other nodes if you wish.
What casa does or doesn't do is a complete non sequitur. Instead of confusing an obviously poorly thought out point to be right, you could just say "yeah I was just trolling Kratter"

So glad you brought Bastiat's "Seen and Unseen" into the discussion. Great piece.
Who runs a bsv node? I mean yeah, in countries where the police are actually resourced to deal with online childporn. And fuck me you feel comfortable forcing other people to distribute childporn?
Sounds like projection on your part. Knots is responding to a threat we have already witnessed. You know that Jeffery Epstein was backing core right? All the way back in 2015.
How do you think the general public responds to articles like this? How do I even talk to my friends and family about Bitcoin ? I have had to explain this shit to people in real life that aren't interested in Bitcoin. People who have no idea about any of it but heard something somewhere and worried about me getting arrested for running a node warning me it's dangerous. You think that's going to help with mainstream adoption? image
So you think that running a node should be a secret? You don't tell anyone, you hide it from your family and friends. Like some kind of criminal? That's your solution? That's what you think is good for Bitcoin?
Calling them Marxists for absolutely no reason kinda destroys your credibility. Please grow up, American media and education system has lied to you. Marxism has absolutely nothing to do with this. You're scapegoating the wrong people. But otherwise really good video.
It's not 80% core v30 It's more like 15% and half of them are running on corporate servers. The remainder are earlier versions of core that refuse to update to version 30 and knots. With a tiny handful of people running other clients

Irrelevant. Knots is maintained and funded by a single person who also happens to be a statist Christian fascist. When you say Epstein funded core you are being purposefully vague in hopes to some how taint Bitcoin. Epstein funded MIT media lab who was providing funds to a handful of core devs. This is the most retarded attempt at a gotcha from you weirdos yet.
"knots is maintained by one person which justifies forcing node runners to host childporn" Of course you think it's irrelevant that all the normies learning about bitcoin from the Epstein files. If one coretard actually had an argument that didn't lead back to "we should force node runners to host childporn" it'd be a lot easier to take you cunts seriously and have a good faith discussion but literally every time it always goes back to coretards trying to justify forcing this on node runners. Not one of you have suggested anything or tried to explain how the filth will be prevented Or how this is good for Bitcoin. It's literally just a bunch of pedophiles and shitcoiners trying to justify spam and CP
One of the most commonly used weapons for murdering people is a hammer. It's not OK to murder someone with a hammer. It's still retarded to try to change hammers because some psychos use them to murder people.
From what I can understand, the people trying to change bitcoin are Bitcoin core developers who want to remove a filter that up until now has been preventing illegal content being uploaded. Correct? So who's the one trying to change the hammer? The person who says that killing people should be illegal and everyone should have access to hammers, or the person saying killing people should be legal but hammers should be banned. That's how I understand it but I'm new to this whole thing, started learning about it yesterday.

why is an op_return increase - which itself feels like a hammer change - necessary?
