After choking down tongkat ali mixed with water, and then eating a spoonful of shilajit powder with honey, black coffee may as well be a glass of chocolate milk. Though, it's worth noting that it may have less to do with your manliness and more to do with the low quality coffee you're exposed to. Get a good hand picked light roast (maybe medium if you don't handle acidity well) and you may not even recognize it as the same sort of beverage as mechanically picked unripened burned crap that gets peddled as "coffee." The trick isn't masking the shit out of your coffee; it's throwing it away and getting better coffee. That all said, I'm not above a decent cappuccino with a bit of sugar and cinnamon when it's time for dessert.

Ice cream season is kicking off here, lesgoooow #peatstr
Not gonna say I don't just drink store brand medium roast black and deal with it fwiw, but I do hear ya on the flavor. One trick I have used though that I personally like anyway is actually stepping away from the sweetener and dairy and towards spices. I've done a few different things, including just throwing cacao in with the grinds, but the one I do most often is some cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom (which actually counteracts the jitters), sometimes with the additional other spices that make up pumpkin spice blends. Also, a TINY bit of salt can go a long way to cut bitterness, but you don't want to actually taste any saltiness.
That's me after trying to gulp down tongkat ali. Stuff is soooo bitter. It's almost annoying that it does seem to work wonders on cutting down cortisol though.
I've got some of that kicking around. From Lebanon not Turkey but same style. Light roast with cardamom. I'm usually more a French press guy because I just bring the whole thing down to my desk with me to drink through the morning.
Arabica 100%, light roast, ground just before brewing. Filter. Aeropress is my favourite, other methods will do. It's a completely different world. Smells like your regular coffee, but doesn't taste like clinker and ash. Adding milk or sugar actually ruins it. Ask at your local specialty coffee place what they have to offer.

Same but no sugar. Espresso and some milk is delicious.
