Anyone else find it odd how many #introductions say little more than 'hello'? Or 'new here.'? It's like sending in a resume with just your name on it. You don't gotta share your date of birth and mother's maiden name, but c'mon, tell us why we might be interested in talking to you. Especially amid all the bots. Happy to meet new people and engage to #grownostr but give us SOMETHING to go on.

GM #coffeechain Gonna do some more reading on the beach today. Maybe with a little less direct sunlight at mid day. Trying not to think about the podcasts I'm getting behind on. Or the fact that this was the last pouch of coffee in the suite.

After turning down a totally unlit dirt road into darkness, we got greeted by the chef and 5 dogs atthis place. The chef explained in very cheerful Spanish that they had 'langosta, pescado, camarones, ensalada, y piña coladas.' Which we said sounded lovely. They proceeded to sit us at a table under a palm tree (nobody else was around) and then 10-15 minute later served this GIANT platter of all of it. While the pack of the most well behaved stray dogs kept us company (but didn't engage in anything close to begging). If you go to the DR and eat at these fancy Italian, French, and Spanish food places, you're really just robbing yourself of a much more pleasant experience.

I made a few friends down at the beach today. Well, the dog was a friend. The cat didn't murder me, which I consider close enough.

Saw some street dogs with puppies today. It'd probably a good thing they won't let me bring these back on a plane. 3 dogs is a handful enough already.
